A fine restaurant with good prices disguised as a caffe. Food had quality ingredients paired very well. Service was great.

Their chicken burger is a must try! If u don’t mind mushrooms highly recommend you add some extra mushrooms in there! It’s so delicious you will love it! The sandwiches are very healthy tasting if u know what i mean, and their spinach salad has a unique taste to it.(a good one)

I had brunch here over the weekend and was disappointed. The wait was long, I expected as much mid-day Saturday, but was told it would be 10 minutes. 30 plus minutes later we were seated. I’m all for waiting for a delicious meal, but be honest about the wait time. I had the Salmon Benny. I don’t live in Winnipeg and had been craving this benny since my plane touched down. To say I was disappointed would be a great understatement. 2 poached eggs. 1st egg was gooey perfection. 2nd egg, solid as a rock. Is it appropriate to ask for a new poached egg in this situation? I’ve always wondered this, but have never asked for a new egg. :( The benny itself is made with a scone, so it was super dry and dense. So the 2nd egg was integral to keeping the meal in balance. Poorly poached egg aside, the service wasn’t great. The sever noticed that I didn’t eat much of the 2nd half of my meal and when I poked my hard poached egg she said, «Oh, that sucks.» Sure does! Nothing was done. My dining partner had the French Toast and reports that it was delicious. We paid and left. Next time I am in Winnipeg I’ll likely pass on Stella’s and look for a new Brunch option. Lots of new exciting places to eat. Not necessary to return somewhere with mediocre service, long waits and inconsistent food.

I thought this place was excellent. I had a sandwich, which was average, but my salad was really good. It had a curry dressing with orange slices and almonds. Very tasty! My husband had the blueberry banana french toast with caramel sauce. It was good! The caramel sauce was homemade. Cream, butter, brown sugar.

Disappointing. I had the beef burger. Could have made it at home. Comes with has browns and coleslaw on focaccia bread. Partner had the quinoa burger and really enjoyed it. Service was friendly but very slow. We moved seats and the waiter was snippy about us moving.

Its been a while since I made it to this location for breakfast/brunch and in the end all though the service was good the food was not. If I had to rate them this is the least fav of all the Stella’s locations, and I do not plan to stop by here again any time in the future

Great burgers and cinnamon buns. I wasn’t impressed by a couple of the pricier options, but I haven’t tried everything yet. Fun atmosphere and good service.

awesome breakfast place! Anytime i’m in town Stellas for breakfast is a must. The eggs are the dark yolk/almost orangy kind so good. The amount of food you get is perfect and i love the jam. I usually try to go during the week cause on the weekend its packed cause white people love their breakfasts so expect to wait 45min if not longer. I my favorite location is the one in Wolsley, good people watching.

Stella’s is a great place to eat with your family or friends, to catch up over coffee, or celebrate over dessert.

Overrated, but one of the few only options. Winnipeg is sorely missing delicious, cool, fun breakfast places — but Stella’s comes close. All the standard breakfast food is there, as well as lunch. Their veggie burger is fantastic(but not vegan). Proper table service is only offered at the Kenaston location, you have to go order at a counter at the other two locations. All in all, the place is okay but not amazing.

I haven’t been brunching at Stella’s in a long time; I use to go there every Sunday and frequent them at lunch time. My recent visits back to Stella’s on Osborne have been very disappointing. Their food is simple and fresh so it shouldn’t be that hard to execute but unfortunately the quality and deliciousness that I was accustomed has slipped! It saddens me to take away stars for a former fav of mine. Ordered my previous go-to breakie dish — baked eggs(no ham, just spinach and cheese). When I ordered this, I told the person at the till that I wanted the vegetarian version. Well, low and behold I receive a baked egg dish with nothing on, no melted cheddar cheese either! It was just 2 plain baked eggs and they forgot to include the side of salsa that always comes with the dish. I was very disappointed. The manager got the kitchen to make me a new one though he said that I should have been specific and asked for baked eggs with spinach and cheese. Huh? When I was there on a weekly basis, everyone understood my order. But what I don’t get is how a vegetarian baked eggs turns into a vegan one where they also omit the cheese?! Weird but fine, I’ll remember to be more specific next time. Next visit, I ordered the chicken provolone sandwich and a ginger cookie to go. My first annoyance was that the normally super soft and moist ginger cookie was rock hard. The cookie tasted stale, like it had been sitting there for a number of days. I had asked for my side caesar to be lightly tossed in the dressing, when I got back to work and popped open the salad, it wasn’t dressed as they just included a container of dressing. I like dressing on the side but with creamy Caesar dressing, I prefer it to be tossed lightly cause have you tried mixing the dressing with the salad in that tiny Styrofoam box without causing a mess. The dressing was as garlicky as I remember. I love garlic but it was too much, all I tasted was garlic, so the dressing was overwhelming and tasted a bit flat due to the lack of salt. The chicken provolone had all the requisite ingredients but the homemade remoulade sauce was bland! I’ve had this sandwich a number of times and loved it but this time, it was just bland. I also forgot that you can choose the type of bread you want(they always ask that). The person taking my order did not ask me and I forgot about it. I always get the multi-grain which is soft and pillowy filled with lots of grains. But this type, I got some awful dry brown bread with an extremely tough crust that was almost inedible. So all in all, the last couple of visits have been disappointing to say the least.

This café was recommended to me for brunch by several people in Winnipeg — and for good reason. Wonderful wholesome food, generous portions, friendly casual atmosphere… it’s the kind of place you can sit and people watch over ongoing cups of coffee and plates of waffles. The Osbourne street location is a little difficult to pinpoint as it’s in a strip mall, but the location offers lots of seating with natural light. Next time I’m in Winnipeg I’ll check out the other locations for sure. I’m a fan!

I give this restaurant(and its locations on Sherbrook and Grant) 5 stars for the Stella’s salad alone. Crisp romaine, savoury oil dressing, asiago cheese and pine nuts… to die for. I often get it even when I go to Stella’s for brunch and my friends are ordering eggs. Speaking of eggs, Stella’s does them well, though some will balk at paying bistro prices for eggs. But the coffee is good, even if the noise level is high on high-volume weekend mornings. And any Stella’s breakfast, already good, is catapulted into the stratosphere by the fresh strawberry-blueberry jam(hint: if your meal does not come with the jam, you can order it separately for 35 cents!). Their sandwiches and soups are tasty. I’m fond of the veggie curry plate. And of course, their breads and muffins and pastries are phenomenal all. When you go to Stella’s, you know what you’re going to get, and you know it’s going to be good!
