Fro-Gurt’s

I came to the Forks last night look for something sweet and had to choose between Mini Donuts, Gelati, Ice Cream, or Fro-​Yo. Obviously I chose the healthiest option and went with Fro-​Yo.
Their way of making frozen yogurt is very unique and I have not seen it before. Most frozen yogurt places I’ve seen have a selection of premade frozen yogurt to which you can add a selection of toppings. Here you choose two flavors and they take those flavors/​ingredients and mix it with frozen yogurt base. Very interesting.
I had the Bumbleberry while my friend got some sort of Hawaiian, which consisted of Pineapple and Coconut, and Mango. A large size is ~$ 5 after tax which is pretty good for the amount I got. The Bumbleberry was quite tart but it was still pretty good. The Hawaiian/​Mango was a lot better and did not have the overbearing sourness that the Bumbleberry one had.
Flavor wise the yogurt here has the most «yogurt-​like» taste than any other place I’ve had. It also has a more dense texture very similar to ice cream where-​as the other frozen yogurt places I’ve been to had a very sorbet like texture. The base yogurt used is also quite sour making the final product on the tart side as well.
Overall, I enjoyed this place and if I am craving something healthy and sweet, I probably will return.

So we went and got a Oreo frozen yogurt and it was really good had amazing flavour and the survivors were really nice. We got a pretty big portion for only $ 7. But the yogurt tasted more like your yogurt than the flavour.

I’ve tried Pinkberry in the States and find that their frozen yogurt base is too tart for my tastes. But I really enjoy Fro-​gurts because their frozen yogurt has a nice smooth taste. It’s a great place to grab a sweet little something as you enjoy the Forks. It has lower calories than ice cream and it’s at a decent price as $ 3.50 gets you a small.
Whatever size you order, you can add 2 fruits flavours or toppings. Nice!
