An amazing selection with very knowledgable and friendly staff to serve. Great gifts and such fantastic tea! A great local business that’s definitely worth checking out.

Um, can we say snobby? This place specializes in coffee beans and loose tea leaves and sells the accessories to go with it from french presses to tea pots. I love small private boutiques but the thing that can easily turn me off from these small businesses is their snobby behaviour! I walked in to an empty shop and got looked up and down by the staff person — which is uncomfortable and awkward. I was ignored for the rest of the time I was in the shop. No «hi.» No, «how can I help you?» Not even a smile. Wow. I don’t like to be bothered much when I shop but I don’t think a little friendly smile is a little to much to ask.
I asked some other friends about their experiences at Cornelia Bean and they said the same thing — snobby. So I guess I am not the only one who’s experienced less than stellar service here.
I love shopping and am always willing to spend money for good products and some nice service that accompanies the experience. But I won’t be visiting this place again because I can get my coffee and tea products from much more friendly merchants in the city who don’t look me and up down to assess my worthiness as a customer!
