I had the best birthday cake ever here — the«chocolate zen» is their signature dessert and rightly so! The cake has a thin bottom layer of chocolate cake and filled with a semi-dense chocolate mousse/pâté like interior. Hard to explain(look at the pic) as it had the texture of a cheesecake but it wasn’t. Yeah, I know, bad explanation. Anyhow, the rest of the cake was covered with a dark chocolate ganache and topped off with white chocolate curls and strawberries. I loved that that the cake wasn’t overly sweet. All the various forms of chocolate complemented each other and combined into a smooth and rich taste. You can always tell when a cake is make with quality ingredients and this cake is definitely up there with the best desserts I’ve tried. This cake is such a winner that I think it might be our family’s go-to special occasion cake for the next while! Price wise, this place is on par with all the nice bakeries in the city — 6″ for $ 28.00, 8″ for $ 40.00, 10″ for $ 48.00, 12″ for $ 58.00. We got the 6 inch cake and it was more than enough for 6 people with a little leftover.

What can I say went in with no real expectations and was surprised at the cute«treats» behind the shelf. After some time deciding on what to get we decided on a couple of croissants and of course some chocolate items. The croissants were real good and barely made it bake to the care. Overall enjoyed everything. The size of some items seems a little small, but the price reflects that. I have only made it here once so far, and will be back to try it again.
