«Great Thai place, great lunch and atmosphere» I traveled here for a business lunch. Like the décor, not too much or tacky. Owners are a couple, one of them Canadian from the area, the other from Thailand of course. Ordered a Pad Thai which I know I could get anywhere, but was very pleased how it tasted. Very authentic, and definitely would go here again if craving Thai after getting off the plane or driving into Windsor.

Great environment, delicious authentic Thai food with amazing flavor! A fine place for dining but a bit pricy !! I love this place when someone else is paying for it !! Lol

By far the best Thai restaurant in town and not even a close second place… the pad Thai is amazing and the place is wonderful…

We came here for dinner before seeing Penn & Teller at Caesar’s Windsor. Our plan had been Smoke and Spice, but they were packed and we didn’t have time to wait. We had seen this place driving up Lauzon and decided to give it a try. It was a great choice! We liked the décor, and the food was very good. My brother had a bowl of wonton soup that was huge, and full of wontons and other stuff. All of our main courses disappeared. My spouse ordered chicken curry fried rice and it was plenty warm for him at medium. I had mild spice on my pad thai, and it was fine for me. The noodles were done well, and the chicken didn’t have an old taste at all. We tried the fresh spring rolls, which we had not seen offered elsewhere. They were okay, but I think the crispy ones are much better. These were also large, and I am used to spring rolls being rather thin. The major fault here was service. The wait for our bill was too long, even after we had mentioned we had a show to catch. We finally went to the front cash register, and even then it took a long time to get our bill paid. It was a good thing the show started late, as we got there with just a couple of minutes to spare. I would eat here again, but that problem with the bill presentation was a real disincentive.

Just when I thought I could love this place more I had the perfect dinner. Fresh spring rolls with there amazing peanut sauce dip and a small Tom Kha soup(perfect blend of coconut milk and a touch of spice). Two of my favourite flavours in one meal and plesantly full, highly recommended.

Excellent veg cuisine. We had cold rolls, local wine, pad Thai w tofu and red curry w tofu. Some reviews complain about the watery sauces. My red curry sauce was kind of watery. It’s supposed to be. When poured on the rice it soaks up and becomes some kind of magical food of the gods. We will absolutely be returning. Fantastic!

We used to LOVE this place when it was across the street, but last 2 times for carry out was disappointing. Both times they messed up the order. This time got chicken when we ordered shrimp. Pad Thai was pretty good, but ginger stir fry was watery, fried dumplings and egg roll were burnt and bland. We hope they get back to their former glory.

I love Thai food so I decided to finally come check this place out. The interior is gorgeous! It gives off a homey feeling with a touch of authenticity. I would agree that it’s a great date spot. The waiter was friendly and during my entire stay there, you could distinctly hear him laugh as he talked to customers. A blessing or a curse while you eat, that’s up to you to decide. I had the lunch special and settled on the tofu and veggie pad thai with tom yum goong. The restaurant was half full which is a good sign. I didn’t wait long, about 10-minutes, which is another good sign. The soup came out first and it tasted like the tom yum paste I find at my local Asian stores. It was my first time having broccoli with tom yum so that was something else. My pad thai came out shortly after and it smelled great. It tasted great too! The sweet thing is that they put the peanuts on the side instead of mixing it in or topping it off for you. I would’ve liked more peanuts with my meal(I know I could’ve asked but if it’s going to come on the side of the plate like that, just put it into a small bowl with a little more). The portion of the pad thai along with the soup did fill me up but not a bloated full which was nice. I would’ve liked less sauce with the pad thai. I do agree with the reviews that this place is overpriced. For the amount of food I ate it came to $ 12.38 after tax. The amount of food I received is the equivalent to a Chinese lunch special valued at $ 7-$ 8 where I could’ve gotten a soup, a great portion of fried rice, a bomb piece of meat, and an egg roll/spring roll. So I was disappointed that it costed me that much for the amount I ordered. I would recommend coming here if you want to try something new and good. I would not recommend coming here if you want to spend less than $ 10 on a good meal. The tom yum goong at Basil Court is 1000x better. I will add that they charge $ 6.50 for their spring rolls. Usually, that price would cover about 4 – 5 spring rolls. It’s $ 6.50 for 2. What?!

This is quite a delayed review, but recently signed onto Unilocal. I took my little brother and sister to the old location, simply because they live on the eastside and didn’t want to go all the way downtown to the ONLY Thai restaurant in town BASILCOURT. They are not adventurous eaters, so I’d been trying to introduce new foods to them. I can say the décor was very nice, but I was hardly trying to impress them with décor. The food? I got a coconut chicken soup, and a build your own stir-fry. The soup was average. I love Basil Court so much, I’ve nearly mimicked making their soup at home. The soup here was ok, basically just broth with red curry paste and some veg. Not terrible but nothing amazing. My stir fry was absolutely terrible. Undercooked veggies in a lukewarm broth. Struggled to finish. My sister got a fried rice dish, which was ok. Pretty salty imo. My brother’s dish was actually pretty tasty. It better have been for 18 bucks. It was the fish and vegetables in sauce. Fish was crisp and was a nice sauce. Honestly, if this place charged like any cut-rate Chinese place, I’d have been ok with it. Our bill was more than $ 70 dollars(with one beer). We could have eaten for a week spending 70 at Basil Court. Good try, surprised it’s still open really.

Ordered the appetizer sampler platter. The platter had everything deep fried and rather greasy except the chicken satay which was cold. The dinner arrived before we even had a couple spring rolls. Excellent peanut curry but only served with rice. The pad see ew noodles aren’t typical Thai noodles — they’re more penne style. Not impressed. The kids fun bowl is a good portion but thinking should give choice of sauce cause my child not impressed with sweet & sour sauce. Overall felt rushed & then kindof ignored. Not the best Thai in Windsor but I don’t want to give away my fave ;)

I’ve been to this one a few times, including their old location. Their service is good and so is the ambiance. The wait staff are very nice. The food, however, is not the best. It is way to westernized. I suspect they reduce the use of shrimp paste, fish sauce and other Thai cuisine essentials to make their food more appealing to ordinary Windsorites. And as Peggy said, they are also a bit over priced. That said, I would highly recommend this place for dating. It is very nicely decorated and has a great wine menu. It is exotic enough to impress your date but NOT too much to offend someone who don’t like the smell fish sauce. And with their above average price, you won’t be accused of being cheap.
