Cons:
— Horrible service. Takes forever to get seated, rude waiters and waitresses, they CONSTANTLY give us the wrong food
— Food quality isn’t even close to what they show on their tablet menus.
Pros: You can quickly find out that you don’t want to come back here.
Disgusting. Do not come here.

I wish I check the reviews before we came here. The fact that they didn’t even bother to paint over the western murals on the outside of the building (old steak house) was our first clue that they have no pride in this restaurant. Our server was terrible and he took our order on a napkin. Who does that?! We also had to ask 4 times just to get our water. The sushi rice wasn’t made properly and had no flavor. The pad thai had a radioactive-​looking orange sauce and no vegetables. The server never stopped by to see if we needed anything. I’m scared to see what sanitation and food safety practices they have here because if they can’t employe servers that care, then the kitchen staff can’t be much better. This place is clearly only trying to make money and has no concept if what it takes to run a successful business. They won’t be here for long. This is one of the rare times I won’t be leaving a tip.

We tried a take out order.
Given that sushi rolls and tempura are at their best when completely fresh I won’t comment on that.
The Thai food was not up to anyone’s standards. Red curry seemed to consist of a lot of bamboo shoots, some carrots and a bit of chicken in a thin red sauce that might have contained some coconut milk. There was no richness to this sauce or really enough sauce to enjoy with rice.
Pad Thai looked for all the world like grated carrots. These were noodles in some sort of orange colouring.
No one in our group of six ate more than half of our food.
My advice would be to reduce the menu choices and increase quality.
We will not bother giving this restaurant a second chance.

This place is garbage. I went their last night and found the service slow, also the iPads are only for people that are ordering from the buffet/​taste menu. If you want to order specify things then you order from the paper menu. The service was slow and sorry to say that I could neither hear my waitress nor understand what she was saying. Left unhappy and will never go back. I have had the opportunity to go to other sushi places both in Windsor and the metro Detroit area and I would say that they were better and the presentation of the food was better. Don’t see this place lasting more than a year.

Horrific experience at this restaurant. Service doesn’t exist. You are left at your table with no drinks and barely served. At 23.99 for all you can eat and the food never comes out, SO NOT WORTH IT!!! Stay away as these people literally rip you off as they have no understanding of customer service! You are virtually ignored and the management does not care!

The food is mediocre and the service is TERRIBLE! the staff is not friendly at all, half of our food we ordered in the iPad didn’t arrive. Also keep in mind, the food you see on the iPad probably won’t look the same when it arrives. I won’t be returning here any time soon.

Food was good, service is way to slow. There was a large dinner party and all tables other than the that dinner party never received their food in a timely manner, they catered only to the dinner party. Waited so long for our food. Sad experience to pay 25 $

Re edit: went back to try again, never going back. Was there for three hours did not receive any of my food. Had to call the waitress multiple times for orders, they brought the wrong food and never told us they ran out of certain items. I also felt bad for the people waiting to be seated. A few people left but the ones who stayed waited over an hour to be seated. Horrible iPad system, rude staff, slow and a waste of time. DO NOT GO YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!! changed from 3 to 1 star. Would give zero if had the option

After losing all or most of our orders three times, the manager argued with us that we shouldn’t have ordered all sushi rolls. «If you’d ordered something else, it would have come out.» Silly me for ordering sushi at a sushi restaurant.
I have NEVER encountered such horrible service at a restaurant. I don’t like complaining to management, but when I do, I expect the manager to take some responsibility and not argue incessantly that it was somehow my fault. Many other tables near us were also complaining before we left.
We got 15% off and an outlandish kitchen nightmare story to tell for our troubles. If this restaurant is still in business in another few months, I’ll be shocked, and local sushi fans will be worse off for it.
Final verdict: simply the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Avoid at all costs.

I was invited with my friends to have our christmas dinner at TAKA. We were excited to try the new iPad system of AYCE, but guess what?! Horrible experience! We have group of friends waiting for more than one and a half hour for just few dishes coming! That fine, i know they are busy. The problem is we ask one of the server to check our order of foods, but they roll their eye on you! What The FUCK! And the food isn’t good too! Bad bad!

There are NO words to describe how ANGRY I am after leaving this restaurant. NO words. Service was SO horrible. I don’t know where to begin.
If you went to this restaurant on Monday night, December 21, 2015 from 6PM to ~9PM you know what I’m talking about — SLOW SERVICE, MEDIOCRE FOOD, AND SLOW SERVICE.
I waited THREE (3) HOURS FOR EVERYTHING TO ARRIVE and they were still forgetting sushi rolls that we entered MULTIPLE TIMES into their iPad system. SO ridiculous. What’s the point of having these iPads if it can’t work properly to forward the orders?! Half the people in the restaurant kept walking up to the servers complaining over and over about the slow service and ended up leaving early. HORRIBLE. I left the restaurant hungry still.
Sushi was okay, their appetizers were not good (everything came out luke warm and not hot and fresh), I thought the miso soup was going to be decent but it ended up being so bland I was pretty much drinking hot water with white powder sprinkled on top. Fried rice was SO disgusting.
Management doesn’t know how to run the restaurant properly. I’ve never been SO stress and SO angry about service. EVER. (Honestly I think the amount of seating/​space is WAY too big for an all you can eat sushi restaurant, unless they’re willing to triple the size of the sushi bar/​kitchen and the number of chefs to meet demand).
PLEASE take my advice. Please do yourself a favour and spend your $ 25 at other AYCE sushi restaurants such as across the street Tenko Sushi. PLEASE.

I haven’t been to Windsor in a while and I was invited here my few friends. I’ve had sushi in Windsor before but it was always really really bad, like sushi rolls made with out the authenticity. I believe this place used to be an old montanas and they took advantage of the previous renovations. I guess it really worked out for them. They have tablet based ordering system which really surprised me because that was kind of unheard of in Windsor. What suprised me more was the quality of food! Not bad at all. Lots of variety.

really impressed with party tray a. 38 rolls for 32.95 minus 10% off for picking up. everything was delicious and ready for pick up in 15 mins. its good value and fresh. cant wait to try some more items on their menu.

My wife and I tried Taka for the first time last night. Overall, it was very good. The iPad ordering system didn’t seem to work for our non-​all-​you-​can-​eat order, so we ended up ordering off the paper menu.
I had the sushi set and really liked it.

Best all you can eat sushi place I’ve tried in Windsor so far. If you like variety, you’ll love this place. Every table gets an ipad to make your orders on which is really cool. The servers were very nice and friendly. Lots of fresh and flavourful dishes. One warning though, the spicy tuna and salmon rolls have a mayo sauce that I wasn’t expecting and didn’t enjoy. So if you don’t like mayo-​based sauce avoid those rolls.
