Grill 55 Restaurant

Atmosphere is nice. It’s attached to the holiday inn and if you’re staying across the street at the Hampton like I was, it’s fun to run across the street. It’s a typical hotel bar/​restaurant but with lots more selection and lots of room. Perfect for company functions or a bunch of coworkers getting drinks off the clock. Food is actually done quite well.

Very fast and good service. Very friendly. Food was great. I ordered ribs, they were good. friend of mine ordered stake, he said it was excellent. Appetizers were excellent too. I see no problems with this restaurant at all.

One star is way to much.
Food is terrible. Had the onion soup. Didn’t touch it. Pizza tasted like a microwave pizza.
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else

Very nice and friendly staff but the service is slow. Is it a kitchen issue? Not only that, another family of 4 came in after my family had submitted our order and they got their food before we did. I didn’t think yogurt and pancakes would take longer than 4 plates of eggs toast bacon etc etc. Food was good when it did arrive.

Terrible service. Eat here twice for breakfast and the same waitress messed up the order both days. Food is slow coming. Not impressed at all.

Slow service took forever for the food and we went at least an hour without drinks on the table

This is within the Holiday Inn on Huron Church Road.
It has gone through a few different incarnations over the years but one thing that is constant is they never really seem to get things quite right. The latest version of this restaurant is one of a higher end type menu.
This is not a hot turkey sandwich and fries diner.
On any given day you can get a great meal delivered by painfully slow wait staff, or, you can have the Waitress of the Year attending your table and get a terrible meal.
I have to say the breakfast menu is the highlight of their offerings.
I’m sitting on the fence. I wish Unilocal had half stars because I would give this restaurant two and a half. I guess what I am saying is it’s a coin toss. You never know what you’re going to get when you walk in.

We wanted to try a new restaurant and decided to go to Grill 55. I was not impressed. We ordered a burger, mac and cheese, calamari, breaded shrimp and sweet potato fries.
I must admit that the sweet potato fries and burger were perfect.
Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was terrible.
The calamari had no taste.
The breaded shrimp was really greasy. I’ve had better shrimp from fast food restaurants.
The mac and cheese was just terrible. You would think that something that cost $ 17.00 would be delicious.
All in all, I would not return. We spent $ 70.00 on lunch, thankfully our dogs will eat anything so the food did not go to waste. Needs improvement
