It’s apparently Ersu, NOT Erfu…(There seems to be confusion with the name as Google will not find this place with any name other than Erfu. But Ersu is the name of this new place(as confirmed by actually talking to them). Anyways… Ersu is a new Chinese restaurant here in Windsor. It’s specializing in Cantonese and Szechuan cuisine(and apparently Kebab, though I don’t see it on the menu). They also advertise the fact that they offer Xin Jiang dishes — which I’m not entirely sure what that consists of. Anyways, the place is really nice inside. The outside kind of looks shady, but the interior is anything but. They have a nice dining room area and there is a little corner that has a big TV which I assume is for karaōke(because that’s advertised… not a racist remark). The menu is fairly large and is similar to most Chinese restaurants around Windsor(complete with a secret Chinese menu as well). The service was phenomenal. They were real attentive and really We ordered three dishes to share, Salt and Pepper Prawns, Beef Brisket in Hot Pot, and Crispy Chicken with Spicy Salt. Our server was very friendly and offered us free soup for an appetizer.(She even gave us free dessert soup). The Salt and Pepper Prawns were great! You can order them with the shell or without the shell. The prawns were giant and were plenty seasoned. There was a plentiful batch of them as well and they come on a bed of crispy noodles, though I believe they are only garnish. The beef brisket in the hot pot was incredible. The meat was so tender and so flavorful. The rich beefy flavor was present throughout everything in the pot. The cabbage, daikon, and tendons were wonderful, especially the tendon. There was plenty of meat and is a dish that deserves repeat orders. The Crispy Chicken with Spicy Salt was probably my least favorite of the 3 dishes but it was still pretty good. The skin was very crisp but the meat wasn’t as tender as hoped for. The salt was very good but I found the meat to be a bit dry and could have used sauce instead. Overall, this place was a wonderful try. I drove by this place and heard of its grand opening so I’m glad I did. Hopefully this place has a new home in Windsor. Good food, good service, and its just great overall. All this place really needs ijust to get its name out there.
