Excellent greasy spoon for those downtown. 5 min walk from Caesars. Choco chip pancakes were excellent and standard bacon egg platter was good. Most breakfast platters under $ 10. Service friendly and efficient. Was just told this owner purchased this place 5 months ago Highly recommended!!!

I’m on the road a lot and this is my favorite breakfast haunt. They have the best corned beef hash and awesome little pots of homemade raspberry jam. Nice atmosphere and the staff most friendly. It’s real food, none of that franchise for me.

I went to the New Elias Deli with a group of coworkers for lunch on a Friday afternoon. I had not been to Elias Deli when it was owned by Elias, but was excited to try the«new and improved» version. On the way there, I ran into a coworker who asked where we were eating. When I said«the new Elias Deli», he made a face. He said he had eaten there the week before and will never return. I knew it was a bad sign, but decided to go any ways. I arrived with my group of co-workers, seeking a table for 9. The 4 waitresses ignored us until one of the members of my group physically put herself in front of an employee and asked for a table. We sat at our table and received menus. We then waited for 10 minutes and no one came to serve us. No one asked if we wanted drinks or how we were doing. We could see 3 or waitresses gathered around a computer, doing nothing. The service was just terrible. Finally, we got up and left and went to the Loose Goose.

Came here before with my professor and class after a photoshoot lesson. This place is quaint and cozy. I didn’t order anything then. This time I came by myself(wasn’t starving but a mediocre hunger) so I ordered a side of their home fries and Canadian bacon. Their home fries were accompanied by ketchup but let me tell you — they don’t need it. They taste great on their own(but I love ketchup so I used a lot). The bacon was kind of tough but it was tasty! If I were hungrier, I’m sure I would’ve appreciated it more. Staff is AMAZING! Very sweet and accommodating.

I was excited for a quality diner meal, but was a little disappointed with the result. The veggie omelet was more of a scramble, and for some reason was packed with broccoli. The home fries were a little under-cooked, and really hash browns would have been preferred. Coffee wasn’t refilled. I like the style of the place– lots of owner pictures and first responder memorabilia on the walls– but the food and service could have been better.

If you are looking for quick food on the go, this is the place to get it. Service is fast and friendly. It is a short walk from the casino if you are looking for a break from breaking your bank. I had a grilled cheese sandwich. Plain and simple, nothing fancy. For $ 3.80, it’s a bargain. My mom had a Reuben that was loaded with meat. She liked it well enough. Everyone around us seemed like workers on their lunch break, so the quick service was probably what draws the crowd here. The other restaurants down Ouellette were barely occupied. If you’re paying in American currency, don’t expect an exchange rate, or change back in US dollars.
