Circling the block one day, I noticed this place and I had never seen it before which all seemed to make sense when I found out that they have not been open for very long. It’s a narrow little restaurant. I must have came as they opened as no one was here, but by the time I finished my meal, people did start to file in for lunch.
I decided to try their niche which is something I never had before… their Chicago style Italian beef sandwich sliced extra-​thin and piled on a fresh bun with au jus and spicy preserved vegetables (giardiniera). Definitely two thumbs up. They also have combinations like Italian sausage with sautéed onions and peppers, or prosciutto-​mortadella-​capicollo-​mozzarella with sweet eggplant.
They also make their own kettle chips, chocolate-​dipped macaroons and have fresh homemade soups.
