I review places by comparing them to places that are similar in style and cuisine, meaning that I wouldn’t compare a breakfast diner to fine dining. That being said, it’s hard to screw eggs and bacon up. And that being said, they tried hard to do just that. I went with my family and had the waitress yell at my mom because she simply pointed out that she ordered pea meal bacon instead of regular. She did apologize after, but it still came across as rude. I ordered the breakfast burrito. She asked if I wanted the salsa in the burrito instead of on the side, and I said yes. It came on the side. Finally, despite the mediocrity, we wanted a piece of pie at the end. We didn’t get a chance because we were left sitting unattended for fifteen minutes. At that point, we walked up to the counter, paid and left. The food is fine. Windsor is lacking in good breakfast places. Since they’re all similar, small things have to distinguish them from one another. This one sticks out as lesser than the rest.

Service was slow; ordered at 11:03am and didn’t get my food until 11:30am. And this was for nothing more than their breakfast special. Despite the excessive wait, the food was of high quality with ample portions. Staff was courteous. Prices are very reasonable, although they do charge $ 1 extra for breakfast items served after 11AM. Homemade pies and pastries are as good as can be found in the city.
