My boyfriend, his mom and I recently ordered from this place for the first time. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! We ordered different combination dinners. The fried rice was burnt! It smelled like an ashtray, absolutely horrible. The deep fried Won Tons, don’t bother! The lemon chicken sauce was just plain gross. $ 40 worth of food all thrown in the garbage.

Ordered takeout when they first opened, so I figured they’d be a bit busy. No problem.
But the food? Gross
Their wonton soup was ok, for pre-packaged from M&m meat shop.
Pan fried dumplings were the same, decent, but definitely frozen.
Got their Combo A– You would think they can’t mess that up right?
It was chicken chop suey, fried pork ribs and fried rice.
There was honestly not a single fleck of chicken in the chop suey. I just added the bean sprouts to the fried rice to make something out of it.
The ribs were like deep fried bone and cartilage with no meat.
They deleted my google review btw.

Excellent combination plate selection. The lemon chicken was lightly battered and crispy & the sauce was tangy & light but not sopping the filets. The chop suey was good but not hot enough. The fried rice was okay & enough.
The General Tao Chicken was fabulous. Very lightly flour-dusted & pan fried — great sauce– a little spicy, tangy & not puddled on the plate. My new fave for Tao chicken.
Egg rolls & plum sauce very good. Only downside won ton soup needs more flavour in broth, more stuffing in noodles & a slice of bbq pork. Otherwise great place.

We have ordered from Bamboo many times now. It has become our go to for Chinese take out night. The food comes piping hot and nothing is soggy. This is key for us. The General Tao chicken is a favorite with all of us.

I went into Bamboo Chinese Eatery on Christmas Eve with a party of 11 adults and 5 children.
We called ahead and they had a table waiting for us. The wait staff were very efficient and courteous.
We ordered 9 entrees which were at the table within 10 minutes piping hot and DELICIOUS!
Pop and water for 16 people, plus the 9 entrees came to 107 dollars. Incredible value for your money.
The next time I visit family in Windsor I will definitely drop into this establishment again.
