History
Established in 2001.
Ziptrek Ecotours was founded in 2001 when two lifelong friends and entrepreneurs came together to create an adventure ecotourism business and the first zipline tour in North America. Their goal was to provide guests with a unique experience combining nature-based learning with the rush of adrenaline.
Ziptrek Ecotours is now a global leader in zipline based ecotourism. With its flagship operation in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada which brought prominence to ziplining in North America, the company has just recently opened its 2nd location in Queenstown, New Zealand. These landmark locations, along with special projects like the ziplines set-up in downtown Vancouver, Canada, as part of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, has earned Ziptrek Ecotours an established name in the tourism industry.
