Soar between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains on Whistler’s most popular zipline adventure. A total of 10 ziplines are joined by suspension bridges and platforms over 150′ high in the tree canopy. Choose from 2 zipline tours and then fly through the ancient rainforest on the ride of a lifetime!

History

Established in 2001.

Ziptrek Ecotours was founded in 2001 when two lifelong friends and entrepreneurs came together to create an adventure ecotourism business and the first zipline tour in North America. Their goal was to provide guests with a unique experience combining nature-​based learning with the rush of adrenaline.

Ziptrek Ecotours is now a global leader in zipline based ecotourism. With its flagship operation in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada which brought prominence to ziplining in North America, the company has just recently opened its 2nd location in Queenstown, New Zealand. These landmark locations, along with special projects like the ziplines set-​up in downtown Vancouver, Canada, as part of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, has earned Ziptrek Ecotours an established name in the tourism industry.

On a winter weekend trip to Whistler, husband and I embarked on The Eagle Tour with Dave and Troy. We had both gone zip-​lining before, but felt it was the perfect way to spend an afternoon — whether you’re a beginner or a zip enthusiast~!
The Eagle Tour contains longer and higher ziplines than The Bear Tour (which seemed more family-​geared) and the perfect amount of time to be in the cold weather, about 2 hours. Make sure to wear all your snow gear, and with the walking and adrenaline-​zippin’ you’ll be better than fine!
Dave and Troy were an awesome team and took the experience to the next level. Dave was hilarious and described what it’s like to work and live in Whistler; Troy’s crystal-​clear blue eyes showed complete sincerity as he talked about the care Ziptrek has for the environment and the way it works with the eco-​system to replace all resources used. (There are 5 interesting steps, just don’t quiz me on them now.)
The lines themselves were just amazing in the crisp white snow atop green trees with grey-​white skies. My favorite was the 4th line, in which you zip through trees, into the clearing over skiiers and snowboarders, and back into the trees. SO COOL. I highly recommend Ziptrek for your next winter Whistler adventure!

I had an incredible time on my Twilight Tour — 6 different lines in the dark. The lines were all incredible, varying in length from 600 feet up to just under half a mile long.
The guides on my tour were very fun, knowledgable, and very thorough in all safety measures (which I was very thankful for, considering how nervous I was!).
The participants were all wonderful too. There were 7 total in our group — I was zipping by myself as my friend bailed at the last minute, and the rest of our group was a family of 6, but everyone did a fantastic job of making me feel welcome and included.
The scenery is gorgeous, from the walks through the snow to the wooden walkways and suspension bridges. It really is much more than just ziplines, it’s an all-​out tour! They even provided complementary hand warmers and had heat lamps at a few of the different zip platforms for the night tour.
I look forward to coming back for a day time tour soon, and bringing as many friends as I can round up with me!

Super fun! We did this in October early in the morning into the fog/​clouds. Highly recommend if those are your conditions. Feels like you’re free-​falling into nothingness and then the valley appears out of nowhere. Surreal and very cool.

This place was absolutely AMAZING! I went on the Mammoth zip line and it was super fast and exciting. It took a little under and hour and a half to do the whole thing. We went up a chair lift to get to a van that took you even higher and after rode the gondola down.
In addition to the great zip line the workers were wonderful. They kept conversation super well and we just happy the entire time which was just contagious.
Overall the trip was great the views and all were worth the cost.

Great guides with great personalities. The directions for where to go once in Whistler Village are non existent, so I would suggest giving yourself extra time to park and find the kiosk. We did the Bear tour which is great for youngsters and first timers. Bring a camera!!! don’t rely on their pictures as they only take pics on the last line and the SD CARD can sometimes not work, as it did with us. Overall great time

Absolutely amazing experience! I am afraid of heights, but my wife and daughter wanted to go so I went along. So glad I did!!! The staff is extremely thorough when it comes to checking your equipment and explaining things. They have a beginner level course, which still gets you and 1,100 foot run over a glacier run off river, to your last run where they teach you to fly upside down. I am so glad we did this, can’t wait to go again.

Highly recommend this activity for both adults and kids. I was in a group with a couple of families and the kids really seemed to enjoy themselves. I had a lot of fun myself, particularly because I’m not exactly an adventure-​seeker, but like the occasional controlled thrill. The Bear tour consisted of a van ride up to the zip lines, and then 5 different lines with some walking and eco-​talks in-​between. Our guides were very friendly and reassuring. The best lines are 3 & 4 which go faster as well as give you longer views of the creek. Line 5 is «freestyle» where they encourage you to try going upside-​down, which I’m proud to say I accomplished successfully.
If I had to choose a downside, it would be the front desk staff who weren’t particularly pleasant, and who were also vague in their instructions to me on how to get to the first meeting spot.
You can get cheaper tickets if you:
1) order more than 5 days in advance
2) go with the earliest or latest timeslots.
I was able to get a considerable discount by doing both.

I went on the bear tour w my family and it was a fun experience. The guides are both really nice and professional, and I enjoyed the ziplines. (I tried upside down!) Will come back to try the eagle tour next time.

I did the longer zip line tour in the 2013 – 2014 winter season when there was not a lot of snow in January. I guess I am unusual, but I thought it was just OK. I mean, I didn’t think that zip lining was that exciting. I did think it was expensive, however. I don’t really remember how much I paid, but I remember thinking it was a lot at the time (The tour I took is now $ 119.00, they have a shorter one for $ 99.00). I think I would like to try the bungee jumping next time I decide to do something expensive. I wouldn’t do another zipline, because it’s just not interesting enough. I don’t think it has to do with the Ziptrek Ecotours the company, I just don’t think the actual activity is all that much fun. It appears I may be the only one though, so take it for what it’s worth.

Trevor was our guide and he was amazing. We did the tree trek with no zip lining. You jump on the shuttle after waiting for your guide and this takes you to the top of where the trek begins. The walk is not strenuous and is very educational. The suspension bridges and platforms make for unbelievable views. Is a must do in Whistler.

Absolutely unforgettable!!!
Myself and 3 friends went on the Eagle tour today and we were blown away. Not only was the scenery incredible, but the tour guides were knowledgable, friendly and very professional. We felt very safe and secure thanks to the wonderful guidance of our leaders Martin and Michelle.
We obviously loved the main attraction zip lines, but the hikes and sky bridges were equally as beautiful. We were also thoroughly pleased by the new opinion to rent a gopro. We got incredible footage and look forward to showing our friends how awesome the experience was!
I recommend this activity to any and all visiting whistler! You will not be disappointed!

Fun activity to do in Whistler. We did the eagle tour and had very competent guides. It was a fairly small group so there wasn’t excessive waiting between zip lines. Also, they donate a portion of proceeds to charities that support sustainability.

We did the eagle tour at whistler. The guides were knowledgeable about the whistler eco habitat, sustainability programs and provided interesting commentary about the surroundings. The tour included 5 zip lines ranging from 400 feet to 2500 feet and speeds up to 70 kmh. The tour operates year round and is a fun way to spend an afternoon.

Outstanding. Majestic. Breathtaking.
These are the words that come to mind when I reflect on my zip lining outing today. From booking to safety to jaw-​dropping fun, I can’t say enough about this place.
They are very thorough (as they should be) regarding bracing and using appropriate ropes and equipment. The employees are kind, energetic and thoughtful. I noticed that none of them over reacted by people making repeated mistakes (ie. don’t touch the metal lines). Their patience and service combined with the sheer adrenaline rush and beauty of the Whistler zip lines make this for a MUST DO attraction for any tourist.

For one of my anniversaries, we decided to go to whistler to snowboard. Aside from snowboarding we wanted to try something just as exciting. We went during winter time obviously but its also open in the summer time. I bet the summer time views are just as gorgeous as the winter time views.
I’m not usually afraid of heights so I will try anything once. The staff at ziptrek were extremely friendly and help you throughout the process. to start us off, they zip us through a baby run to test it out. After we completed that, we were off to the lines with the gorgeous views! zipping across was sadly only like 20 seconds or so. We probably spent more walking around and waiting than on the line itself
The reason why i am giving it 4 stars is because it was pretty short. The 4 stars though is mainly for the staff who were there helping us out.
Additionally, you can purchase photos of the ziplining experince. We tried to take photos ourselves but they didn’t look as good as the ones they took with their camera.

I’m so glad we decided to go ziplining in Whistler! It was such a great and unique experience. I’d never done it before and this was a great place for me to pop my ziplining cherry.
We were up in Whistler for a company trip and this was one of the activities to do on Saturday. We signed up for the 10:50 a.m. slot and thought that was a great choice because it was early enough so that we still had a few hours left in the afternoon afterwards to walk around the village.
Our guides, Bjorn and Sam, were fantastic! They were very friendly, helpful and just overall great guides for our group. The nice aspect about the adventure was that we learned about the rain forest and history of the area. A portion of our money that we paid for the experience also goes to some global nonprofit organizations, which is nice to know.
We took on the Eagle trek and loved it! Though it took awhile waiting for everyone to zip down individually, it was a lovely day and enjoyable nonetheless. There were 5 lines for the Eagle trek and the second to last one was my favorite. It felt the longest and had the most comprehensive views of the forest and it was really fast! Faster the better for a greater adrenaline rush.
Overall, the trip took about three hours and was really worth the time, money and company!
