Amazing food! Best place for those looking for vegetarian/vegan options. A must do :)

Honestly wasn’t the best, but only because I’ve eaten a lot of Indian food in my day. Nothing beats the restaurants in Los Angeles, but for a little city in Canada, it wasn’t that bad. Usually, Chicken Tikka Masala is wayyyy creamier and saucier than what they served us. Also, the amount of food for the price you pay is ridiculous, either lower your prices or get bigger serving platters! The samosas we got as an appetizer were cold in the middle! We were really hungry and trying to find a place to eat fast and this was one of the only restaurants that were open/sounded appetizing, and in the end. It really wasn’t that great. work on customer service(speed) and some of your classic dishes on the menu.

I’ve come here a couple of times, and the food is really outstanding. Yes, it’s a little pricier than I like, but a) this is Whistler, and b) the chicken is from Fraser Valley happy chickens! My server was really nice this time, and although everyone was busy my water glass stayed pretty full, and I was checked on. I got the chili chicken curry with a half order of rice, and a garlic naan. The curry portion does arrive looking really small — it’s ‘family style’ so you’re supposed to order a few and share(although you’d think that would make them a bit cheaper) — but it was actually very filling, and I ended up taking some home. The flavours are really good, very balanced and rich. For some reason I’ve never made it out of sight of the front doors here! Last time I felt pretty unceremoniously plonked down, and this time there was a big wedding anniversary party happening in the back so there was only a little space. As a single diner(Whistler is my alone time happy place!) I’ve quickly got over feeling weird about dining solo, but I’ve often felt a bit strange about it here. The food is absolutely 5 stars for flavour, but I always feel a bit uncomfortable, so that’s why it’s 4 this time.

This truly is one of the best Indian restaurants we’ve been to outside of India. We moved to Seattle last year and the north indian food we get here is nowhere close to the Vancouver. And this is the best so far! We tried their Paneer Masala, chole, Paneer Sizzler, Garlic Naan and Tandoori roti. The Paneer is soft, spongy and juicy. just how it should be! You must try the Garlic Naan when you visit this place, fresh and flavourful. We will definitely visit again.

This place had some of the best Indian food. Chicken tikka masala was fantastic. I would definitely come here again. Everything seemed fresh and tender. Top notch Indian food in Whistler.

We were REALLY happy with our meal. The food was delicious and some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. We had some mild standards— spinach naan, garlic naan, butter chicken, prawn masala and some rice. Our bill was 50.00 exactly which was a great deal for filling up 2 hungry people. We are only in town for a week and love to try new restaurants but my husband has already requested we come back here before we leave Whistler. Oh, and we went around 530 on a Th, it was very quiet and out food was delivered to us very quickly. We were in and out within an hour.

I don’t know what magic is happening at the Indian restaurants in Whistler, but man there is something damn good going down. This was our second visit for Indian after going to Royal Taste India(also highly recommend). We had such a great meal there that we craved more, and Tandoori Grill seemed to have even more glowing reviews so I couldn’t even imagine how something already fantastic could get any better. Both stacked up pretty even in my opinion. Everything was seriously lick your platter clean good. We ordered one of the Malai Kofta which may be my new fav dish, as well as the Prawn Masala. Super flavorful, filling, and perfect price. YOUMUSTGOHERE!

Great food, great service, great ambiance. We were here for a late lunch, as is one of the few restaurants that are open during the afternoon. We loved the spinach curry with lamb and the butter chicken. The best part of the restaurant is that unlike many other here in Whistler, there’s a great view from almost every table.

Definitely our go to Indian restaurant in Whistler. Although the décor of Royal Taste is a little nicer and fancier, the food at Tandoori is almost certainly better. A new favourite dish is chili chicken which has a nice variety of veggies vs other purely meat and sauce dishes like butter chicken which is also very good. I’ve probably eaten here 20 times in the last 2 years and rarely had a bad meal or experience. Only once when they were slammed was the service pretty slow but they have always made up for that experience. The manager is extremely friendly and always hustling to make sure everyone has a great experience. He always recommends against getting the 5 spicy and is apprehensive to throw tons of chilis in the food but we still ask for it anyways.

If I could give it 6 stars, I totally would. This was some of the tastiest and freshest Indian food I’ve ever had. We ordered the veggie pakora and some beers to start. For mains, we had chicken biryani, fish(cod) vindaloo, and palak paneer. We also blew through 4 or 5 orders of naan because it was the best naan we’ve ever had. The food was seasoned and flavored perfect, and they’re able to make it just as spicy(or mild) as you wish. For dessert, the gulab jamun is a must. It’s as good as Mom makes it! Cannot say enough about the food… it’s a must try after a long day of skiing or riding. Service was great. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere too, as the place was quite full. Always a good sign when there are plenty of other diners in the restaurant! If you like Indian food, definitely give this a try!

Ordered my favorite veggie dish(cauliflower and potato) was really good. Their mango lassi was sweeter than other places but still tasty. The lamb dish was good too, but forgot the name. Ordered level 4 spicy but just not spicy enough for us, we asked more, they did it for us, also gave us a green spicy pepper as well :)

After a cold day on the slopes, I’m usually feeling hot and spicy food. Tandoori Grill does a great job of keeping me warm and fulfilling Indian food cravings. What I really like about this place is that they don’t make things too«Western» even though they are in a tourist town. If anything, they stay closer to their roots and I’m so happy they can make their food spicy! I’m a pretty easy person to please when it comes to Indian food and usually places don’t have anything that will make me stray away from my usual of Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala(both which are amazing here and I’d highly recommend). Their portions are also good and filling, there was an abundance of meat in all of their dishes. Along with the regulars, I ordered their halibut vindaloo and eggplant curry — both of which were AMAZING! Everything was so flavorful and the spices and spicy level were all perfect. I got some forehead sweats which I’m always looking forward to when eating Indian food. Also don’t forget rice and naan(garlic naan is the best)! Considering how much everything costs in Whistler, this place is definitely on the affordable side and you will be full and happy afterwards. The people who run this place know Indian food and I’d highly recommend Tandoori Grill — the service and food are great! There is usually a line though, so be prepared. I promise you it’s worth it, though!

This place is fabulous. Open until 11 pm(at least, it was last night, a Wed night), we walked in at 10 pm and got amazing food and service from the Tandoori Grill. It’s on the 2nd floor, but has a big neon sign so it’s easy to spot. I had the palak paneer and my friend had the chicken tikka masala. The food was delicious and fragrant. I asked for a 3 out of 5 on spicy and got it. My friend asked for a «10 out of 5» and got a 3, but she had to send her first dish back because it had peppers and she’s allergic to it(but kudos to the restaurant for having some veggies in what is usually an all-meat dish!). So maybe they forgot about the spice at that point. The only complaint I had is that the garlic naan didn’t have enough ghee on it. It was drier than I like naan to be. But it was still tasty and we finished the whole basket. All that plus rice, was only $ 41CAD(not including tip). Definitely value for the money! We’re going to go back here tonight.

Wow. Food was AMAZING! We stopped in here for dinner — we shared an appetizer — the Chili Kebab — a plate of spiced vegetables and spiced ground lamb — we requested they crank up the heat level. I think we asked for a 4 on a 5 point scale. The dish was savory, succulent, and mouth wateringly spicy! If I thought I could have gracefully gotten away with licking the dish clean — I might have done so! I ordered a beer — a BC beer that was an Amber Ale — Thirsty Beaver Amber Ale(Tree Brewing, Kelowna, BC). It was not very good. Sadly, they had no Pales Ales or IPAs on the menu. For dinner I ordered the Palak Paneer and the Lamb Curry. However, what I received did not taste like Lamb Curry. The sauce had this light tan color to it — it definitely had chunks of lamb in that were very tender. I just chalked it up to some variation on Lamb Curry that I’d never experienced before. But I left most of it uneaten — it was not something I enjoyed eating. The manager came by to check on us and I made a comment about the dish — stating I’d never had Lamb Curry like that before. He told me it was Lamb Korma. I replied I have no idea what that is and that is not what I ordered. He was very apologetic and offered to bring a dish of Lamb Curry out — but I was full from the other dishes. He took the Lamb Korma off the bill and asked that we come back to try the Lamb Curry — which I plan to do — on a future visit to Whistler. The Palak Paneer was very tasty, as was my friend’s Halibut Vindaloo, and of course the Chili Kebab. I plan to come back here in the future!

Can I give 6 stars?! OMG. Best Indian we’ve had outside of London. The place is run by an Indian family that uses their own recipes. And wow, they were both amazing. We had garlic nan bread $ 3; chicken vindaloo $ 12; and Aloo Gohbi $ 14. All flavored were perfect. We had spice level 4 out of 5. Liquor is inexpensive. $ 6 jack Daniels Service is really great.

FOOD.COMA. It took us a little while to find, but ask someone local and they will point you in the right direction. This place is just hits the spot after a cold day on the slopes. The food here is fresh, tasty and perfectly well seasoned. We ordered the shahi paneer and the malai kofta. For sides we got the garlic naan and the kheema naan. and of course for dessert we couldn’t pass up some gulab jamun and mango ice cream. I wish I wore stretchy pants because getting fat here would be soo worth it. The food was amazingly good and I can see why the locals an reviews all rave about it. I could have lived without the gulab jamun — but the mango ice cream is really worth noting. It was soft and rich and full of mango flavor. This is definitely wroth saving room for. The service was really friendly, but it seemed to take a while when we first arrived to find someone to get us seated. Shortly thereafter, everything went well. I was slightly annoyed by who I assume was the manager. Yes, I’m Indian and yes I’m eating at an Indian restaurant. Not really sure why we couldn’t be treated with the same friendly attitude as the other patrons. He seemed to want to just get us to pay the bill and leave. Not cool, bro. On a side note, if you do order spicy, be prepared for it. It’s got a nice kick but if you aren’t able to handle the heat — you might want to ask for a side of raita and a giant pitcher of water. :)

[[ CHICEKNTIKKAMASALA $ 15 ]] Delicious boneless pieces of chicken, barbecued and simmered in a think gravy with onions, fresh tomatoes and herbs, finished with a a very light cream. [[ GARLICNANBREAD $ 3.5 ]] Overall I recommend checking this place out if your staying at Whistler.

Some good food, some not so good. Great prices for a ski town. The chicken dishes are tasty: the chicken curry and a spicy chicken dish(I believe it was Chicken Jalfrazie) were recommended by the waiter and were delicious. I did not have the same luck with the shrimp biryani that I ordered. The rice was good, but the shrimp did not taste right with the biryani spices. If ordering biryani, you will probably be ok sticking with chicken. We had some garlic naan, but it was dry and not very flavorful. The regular naan has a much better taste, flaky and delicious. I had a tasty draught beer with my meal, I believe it was a Whistler Whiskey Jack. I am likely to return in the future, but will try a different entrée next time. I have had better Indian food at other Indian restaurants, but TG offers good variety for Whistler.
