I stayed here a few months ago, for two nights, and had a very nice time. I booked online via just an hour or two in advance, so my room wasn’t ready, but the host got it ready very nicely in no time and gave me an upgrade as well. Once settled in, everything was just delightful. The house is large, conveniently located for walking to all sorts of destinations(downtown, parks, the waterfront), has a nice backyard, and lovely flowers. The linens and quality of the room was all quite good. Ok, so the best part was the breakfast part of this B&B experience. Breakfast was served at the host’s home, just across the street. She has a lovely home, decorated like something out of victorian England, but not too stuffy. There were several breakfast options each day, and oh wow, it was so good both times. Additionally, breakfast provided a chance to meet other guests, share stories, and learn more about Victoria — a really great experience! Finally, I arrived on a dirty motorcycle, but the host never complained and even let me store it in her backyard during my stay for safety. She was so welcoming!

Booked in advance, paid in full, received confirmation several days before, yet the owner claimed to have no record of booking or payment when I arrived. Was left to my own devices. Terrible. Do not risk booking with this place. Sherrin(the owner) is a complete flake.

We booked a suite, showed up at 10:30 and called(as the owner asked us to), and she never answered. We couldn’t find the suite for an hour, despite being promised that there would be a post-it with our name on it, and a key under the door. When we finally found the one we *think* was our suite(how could we know? there was no post-it), it was filthy with dirty sheets in a ball on the bed and cobwebs all over. The owner never called us back and we were stranded at 11:30 pm, in a city we’d never visited before. Thank goodness we found Medana Grove and had rented a car, or we would have slept on the grass. Don’t bother.
