Yoga Buttons

5 stars for the wonderful staff (Hanne & Carolyn) and atmosphere, unique concept, good price (I bought the 10-​pass for 120CAD +tax), creative programs.
The first day I dropped off my 2.5 year-​old, she took off her shoes, said «Bye, Mama.» and that was that.
Ideal for different age groups, even Family yoga, or postnatal.
They do yoga (with and without stuffed animals that are also yoga poses, ie. cat, octopus, …), sing, walk and dance, have the relaxing, quiet time, too and more.
Seems to be in very high demand also for birthday parties!

OMG this place is so ubber cute all the way. I came here with my GF of mine with her two daughters. Why am I not surprised that something like this exists in the city. Well of course it does. Nicely decorated, patient instructors, kids seem to love it and of course they give lots of needed attention and customer service for the parents. I am surprised that there aren’t more places like this open in the city.

It’s a yoga studio for kids, or more specifically, little girls ages 2 and up.
Drop off your kid and you have time for yourself to walk around Kits. Basically a fun babysitting session for your child, and yes, your child will enjoy it. They’ll enjoy it so much you’ll end up having a birthday party here.
That’s what happened with me. My daughter likes this place so much, she had her bday party here. Instead of a community centre or some indoor amusement park, we came here and this place will do everything, and it’s structured for the two hour duration. Depending on the age, its arts and crafts, circle time, then yoga posing. The best part? ALL arts materials and decorations for the bday party are provided. It was a Disney Frozen theme for my daughter and all the decorations reflected it. Music too! All you bring is the food and the kids. Clean up is also done by the proprietor, but I still helped since it was such a mess from a bunch of ⁵⁄₆ year olds.
The inside is about as modern and clean as it can get
One warning: boys may not like this. They’re not terribly into yoga sometimes.
The owner is a grade-​school schoolteacher, btw.
Very highly recommended for little girls.

We love this place! We are new to Vancouver and this was one of our first finds. It’s so great to have a safe and welcoming place to bring — and leave — our two year old daughter to play and socialize. She leaves here so happy and calm. Highly recommend!

Love this place! AND more importantly, so does my daughter!
My daughter has been going here for the past six months and she enjoyed attending a summer camp. I remember when the place opened, so it’s great to have been able to watch it grow. It’s a place where I feel at ease dropping my daughter off and it’s also a place where my daughter gets excited to go to.
Their schedule is easy to follow and updated online. Prices are reasonable. Classes are almost always an hour in duration (unless it’s a special event). Parents can drop off their children and come back to pick them up– which can be nice for running errands or grabbing a coffee. In addition, they allow parents to stay which is welcoming, especially on a rainy day. There’s a large window seat where I’ve stayed to observe classes.
As you can imagine with a class full of young kids, it is bound to get a little chaotic at times, but I have never seen an instructor lose their control of the class nor their temper. They are great with kids and awesome at keeping the attention of the young ones through games, music, stories and fun, innovative styles of introducing yoga.
Aside from the awesomeness of the services they provide, I can’t get over how much I love the décor here. Super fresh hipness that start with the beach chairs outside and it wanders all the way to the back of the studio. The studio is clean and well organized. The washrooms are modern and always clean.

I am so excited about this place! My 2 ½ year old and I have been 3 times in the past 2 weeks. Each class we attended had a different but equally fabulous instructor. The toddler yoga class is simply awesome. The family yoga class on the weekend is super fun. Bonus that the yoga studio is located next to Benny’s Bagels AND the yoga instructors are happy to let the parents wander off during the kid’s classes. An hour of entertainment, fun and focus for your little one and a hot coffee and bagel for Mom = Nirvana found (and conveniently located on Broadway in Kits)! Big ups to Carolyn for creating Yoga Buttons. She is obviously the biggest kid of them all, she’s filled her yoga studio with the most imaginative toys, stories, and ideas. It really can’t be explained, it needs to be experienced. I hesitate in even writing this review for fear the classes will become so full there won’t be space for my «barely on time to get anywhere toddler»!
