Great Sushi. Reasonable price in Downtown area. Best place for dinner before a Canucks game or concert at Rogers arena. Definitely will back again.

Delish sushi! Brown rice option too which I always like. The yam rolls are the size of my face so kinda hard to eat but so yummy.

Average sushi place. Expected better quality when I saw how busy it is all the time, but it’s just average. It has a great location just around the corner from Stadium station. Not too many sushi places around. Best to order out as the place is small.

I found this place by complete accident as was in the area and needed a bite to eat before watching a movie while catching up with a friend. I started walking away from Tinsletown and saw that this place was busy so decided to give it a try. The décor is nothing special, just a typical Vancouver sushi joint with wooden furniture and a sashimi fridge on display for all customers to see. The service was very friendly and non-intrusive as we were chatting a lot. I ordered the spicy tuna special which was a whole lot of sashimi and the rolls were quite tasty and accompanied by a Miso soup. My friend ordered a Bento box which also looked really good. Overall if you are looking for a casual sushi joint, I’d recommend trying this place out.

My favourite spot for sushi on the go in Vancouver! Inexpensive for the portions you get and the sushi is always super fresh!

Been there like 5 times already. Actually best sushi place in the area by quality/price. Large sushi and nigiri, very fresh fish. Check out Dragon roll, chicken karage, and Marilyn Monroe roll you will not be disappoint.

Sushi Den is at a good location, very close to Stadium sky train. They have good price, and really big portions! We ordered a dinner combo for two(not 100% sure about the name though), it had 2 small udons, some nigiris, rolls(huge size:), tempuras. I went here with my bf and we both are huge fans of sushi, but we couldn’t finish all the food. That was really a lot of food and they were all yummy! we had one small sake as well, we paid about $ 40. service was ok, they are not super friendly nor check your table continuously, but they come to you if you ask:) I will definitely go back here if i go around that area:)

It was our first time visiting Vancouver, rainy night, extremely hungry. This place was just a few blocks away from where we stayed. Portions were larger than average, with very reasonable prices. The food was typical Japanese fast food. Service was a little too slow for us Cali folks. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our dinner.

Went to sushi den last night for the first time in about a year. I think it’s just your typical Korean-run sushi place(at least I think they’re Korean). The bento-y combos are a pretty good deal and the special rolls aren’t too expensive either. Service was not that good but I don’t go into most sushi places expecting good service, I never order chicken karage but I did last night to share with my friends, and though it was not the karage I was thinking of it was quite good! Not at all oily and came with refreshing salad. If you’re in the area and don’t wanna go somewhere expensive(such as Wild Rice) or a place with long waits(like phnohm penh), this place is a pretty safe choice.

3.5÷5. We came here on a whim because I was craving typical mediocre Japanese food. What we got out of it was much better than I expected. This place is slightly more pricey than what you would expect from a neighborhood sushi joint, but did it deliver? I’m still deciding on that. One thing I was rather impressed with this place is the amount of finesse they have in terms of presentation. Bento boxes were not presented in the same old tacky plastic partitioned red and black tray, but rather nicely presented on neat little porcelain dishes arranged nicely on a tray. Their portion is also rather generous. Not like Sushi King or Samurai Sushi generous, but more than what you typically expect. Where these guys were mediocre was the food itself. Pretty generic sushi, and the teriyaki chicken I got was wayyyy over sauced. It wasn’t bad. Just mediocre.

My husband and I used to come here for lunch at least once a week. Being away for 3 months, I walked in today and the level of service we received, which made me wonder we came in a wrong place. We got better service at Chinese restaurant in china town than this Japanese one. Walked in after 1:30pm, lunch rush was gone, the lady greeted us with stress appeared all over her face. We were sitting down with no tea or water served, finally we had to signal to one of the waitress standing by that we were ready. She called another waitress with poker face and rude tone to ask what we want. My husband and I were looking at each other and could not believe such attitude. The attitude from this waitress is the worst I have ever come cross at a Japanese restaurant. If my husband had not already started to order, I would have asked for another waitress or left. The rice is falling off the sushi roll and it is not good quality sushi rice. The cucumber and avocado are falling out of the roll as well. The bill came very quickly and the waitress brought the machine to ask me whether I want to pay right away. There was no waiting and plenty empty tables around. Anyway, this dining experience is a very disappointing and unsatisfying one. Will not go back!

Good service in a casual dining area. The restaurant had really good prices and the servings were excellent. Notable dishes: assorted sashimi And real crab California roll

It is located in a really good location beside rogers arena, however the food is a bit mediocre. There’s a bit too much rice on the rolls and can be too sticky. I do not recommend the teriyaki plates, they are a little bit over priced and don’t taste as fresh. The service is average and fast paced.

Came here for linner today. It’s in an excellent location, within walking distance from BC Place and Rogers Arena. I’ve seen it pretty busy before and after an event. Had the salmon miso steak combo and an Alaska Roll today. Was a little disappointed with the Alaska Roll because I thought it’ll have salmon sashimi in it, rather than a slice of smoked salmon. The salmon miso steak was pretty good. When I read steak I thought it’ll be a thick piece of salmon, but it was rather thin. The miso was not bad and the salmon was cooked just right making it nice and tender. And there were no bones at all! I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to come here. But purely for its location and decent quality of food, I’ll probably be back in the future.

Food: 4⁄5 Value: 5⁄5 Oh man, have I really not written a review for Sushi Den yet? I live close by so I tend to frequent this place when my stomach is growling for A LOT of food for a good value. I usually order takeout and get their beef bento box dinner($ 10) which comes with beef teriyaki, white rice, 6 piece California roll, 1 yam tempura, 1 squash tempura, 1 prawn tempura, miso soup, and salad. Holy crap, right? All that for $ 10. This usually serves as 2 meals for me(leftovers for lunch, yay!) Not the best sushi in town, but definitely still tasty. I think they’re Korean-owned(not confirmed). I’ve eaten in the restaurant a few times and the service can be pretty meh sometimes. Since I live so close by — take out is the best option for me.

I am not a fan of any place — especially a sushi place that tosses a container at you when you ask to take some of your food home. Say by to to tip cause you weren’t that busy. And then I had to ask for a bag so that the gooey food should it leak out-doesn’t get everywhere? But yes the food was good although a bit overpriced for what you got — I mean really is a veggie bento really worth $ 9 at lunch? If given the choice I won’t be back-too many better everything else everywhere else.

Fast service, fresh food and average prices! I ordered the veggie bento; $ 9 for a salad, miso soup, HUGE yam roll(you need to eat each piece in four bites), 3 pieces of freshly deep fried veggie tempura(not too oily), teriyaki tofu in rice. I’ve been to sushi places where a veggie bento box has the same contents for about $ 6⁄7 but I was super satisfied with the portions and the freshness of the food.

I used to love getting take out at Sushi Den but recently their quality as declined. I normally order the dynamite combo(dynamite roll + nigiri + miso soup) to-go and my orders had been consistent for about half a year but recently, the sushi just didn’t taste quite right. I usually don’t mind eating Korean sushi, as it is cheaper and larger portioned, but my lunch just did not taste fresh that time. I haven’t been back for a few weeks since I’ve been eating at momo sushi instead but everytime I pass by, Sushi Den is quite full. Perhaps I just had bad luck that time?

Maybe I need to give this place another try but after a bad experience the first time I really don’t have much desire The staff were friendly enough but the quality of fish was so tasteless They did not thaw not cut the fish correctly Value 3⁄5 Atmosphere 3⁄5 Service 3⁄5 Quality 1⁄5 10⁄20
