I can’t say enough good things about Survivor Fitness East Van and Daniela. I’ve been to several bootcamps over the past few years and her’s is by far THE best!
It takes place on the grounds of Victoria Annex School which is just a hop, skip and jump from my house and I LOVE the flexibility of either going at 6am and 6pm depending on my schedule for the day.
Daniela is an incredibly instructor. She knows how to motivate people, engages everyone in the class and provides options for every fitness level. Her jokes, songs and talk of current events provide us with a welcome distraction from our burning muscles. She is a truly dedicated professional who sticks by her clients through thick and thin. No excuses!

I love Survivor Bootcamp. Daniela is the most inspiring, silly, fun, motivating woman I could hope to force me to get in shape at 6am! She engages with everyone, and gives us different levels to make sure we’re all getting the exercise push we need. She also sings and tells awfmazing jokes. Occasionally I think I’ll stop going to bootcamp, and just do the exercises at the gym instead, but of course I don’t and Daniela gets me right back in shape again. I’ve never felt so healthy, or had more fun working out — go see Daniela in East Van! It’ll be the best money you ever spend!

Maybe I’m a sadist. Maybe uninspired. But I’ve been going to this bootcamp for the last 8 months and don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. (A quick disclaimer, though… this listing is for Port Moody… I don’t go there, I take the class in Yaletown under the Cambie bridge.) I started last summer to kick my butt into gear, thinking that once I got in the habit, I would go it alone. But with a class this challenging and fun, why go back to the gym? The program is diverse and keeps you engaged regardless of your fitness level. And, given the personal attention you receive, I think it’s a good value as well.
I’ll let someone else be the boss of me for an hour a day… no problem. Especially when it’s eye candy like Mo or Fred. Grrrr, Survivor Bootcamp.
