This location runs like a well oiled machine. When I arrived the line up was almost out the door. I was amazed how quickly I had arrived at the front of the line. This location does have seating but it’s very limited. Most times I just end up grabbing something and heading out. The staff was very friendly and just so efficient. I ordered a clover Sumatra and a breakfast sandwich. This particular Starbucks has a the clover machine which makes single cups of coffee. The beans are ground when you order your coffee. This makes more a flavourful very hot cup of coffee. It’s wonderful. Don’t forget, Starbucks has a rewards program so it’s best if you use a gift card. Every 12th purchase gets you something free. Today I used my free reward on a breakfast sandwich.

I’ve been to this location a lot. Not a lot of seating, therefore, it is a grab and go situation. I normally come here either to and from work when I just need a little something on the road. I have a Starbucks card that a few of my friends gifted me back in March and again in December. I buy breakfast when I am in a rush in the morning and some tea off and on. Line ups are long but that is just ’cause the location is small, therefore, the ration of store to people makes it look worse than it really is. Always had friendly service.

Another Starbucks Reserve store in the downtown core. I’ve been here several times before but it’s not one of my favourite Starbucks stores downtown. A handful of comfy chairs & small tables litter the store, but a large part of the store(entrance & middle area) is taken up by an accessibility ramp. I’ve received varying levels of service here, but I will always remember the one manager who actually questioned me accusingly when I tried to(legitimately) get a free refill for my coffee once. I guess she did not see that I had been sitting in the store the whole time, so I DID in fact qualify for a free refill on my earlier purchase with my Starbucks Gold rewards card. In any case, you need to chill out woman, it’s just drip coffee — no need to go around accusing customers of trying to score a free refill that you THINK they didn’t qualify for.

The staff here is… Slow. Not detailed. The place itself is… Very well air-conditioned. Gold card members beware — they charge you for refills here. Make sure they do NOT swipe your card.

The worst Starbucks that I’ve ever been to. Consistently bad — every visit. They always give me caffeinated coffee when I order decaf, I’ve had the supervisor/manager yell at me because I asked for a croissant, I’ve had cashiers who gave me attitude and acted like they were doing me a favour by taking my drink order(smug look, no «hello», «please», or «thank you» in response to me being polite to them). I’ve been lectured, snapped at, had to go back to get drinks corrected which they got wrong because, though I had to repeat three times that it was a black iced coffee, not sweet, they still got it wrong and then told me, «You should have asked for a an iced coffee that wasn’t sweet.» Thanks for clarifying, guys. Really, it’s not busy enough to warrant this kind of arrogant, unprofessional behaviour.

Clean shop, friendly baristas. Right on the corner, so it’s easy in and easy out on the way to wherever you may be going. Very close to the convention center if you don’t want to pay even more for a coffee…

This location in downtown is very handy with décor and service very very nice. And of course coffee, coffee, COFFEE was much needed on this brisk Sunday morning — so here we are in the church of coffee.

Normally, I despise Starbucks pricing(see my blog, ). But Andrew I., the manager @ this Starbucks, is a really nice guy. He makes the drinks exactly as I like them, and doesn’t hesitate to dole out the Customer Coupons for a free drink if things don’t go so well.

Good location that is central. However, the design of the place makes you feel like a piece of cattle. Basically because you walk in and then follow this hording that takes you to the back door to get out. Not the most welcoming Starbucks I have ever been into. The above being said, the weekend staff are friendly and really work as a great team!

Why do I review SB? Because in truth, they are all different. This one might talk the talk with their fancy Kona coffee. But they can’t walk the walk. When I ordered a skinny drink I hadn’t tried before, it came complete with aspartame. Quite the fail since the guy wasn’t able to tell me that’s what was in it. And I cannot drink aspartame. Moral: When it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. The one dude was quite friendly when I asked him to make me another drink. This one was less money, but I did not ask for the difference, as I guess it was partially my fault. The tall flat-topped haired dude rolled his eyes at me and made me feel terrible for going there to try out their fancy-a** coffees. And mine wasn’t even«that» fancy. The place was almost empty on an otherwise bustling day, and no one else was ordering there but me. I can see why. So over $ 8 later, I left with my two tall drinks. I won’t be back to this one, special Kona Reserve clover-brewed bs coffee or no. Sb fail.

I remember when this Starbucks was being built. There was a lot of buzz about it because it was going to be the First Starbucks in Vancouver that would have a Clover machine. At the time there wasn’t many places that offered Clover machines. Mink Chocolate did. The interior is beautifully rustic and open window space. This is not designed for large groups of people to sit in, but more of a place to go when you meet your friends. To me one of the best coffees in the world is Sun Dried Ethiopian Haraar. One of the only coffees when opened up fresh and made at the moment taste like dark cherries. To me it’s almost a travesty that anybody would even consider putting milk or sugar into such a coffee. I know Sun Dried Ethiopian is not always available, but I would recommend it. The staff were toned down but not rude. I was really surprised that I was more enthusiastic in describing the coffee to the customer behind me then the staff were. Sadly there just aren’t many coffee tasting enthusiast. But if you like Clover coffee… this is a good place.

Came here by accident. Wow, nobody’s reviewed this place yet! Parking here sucks, so I hope you’re a yuppie. The seating here is surprisingly large. There are more than 5 tables available. Staff were friendly, and there was even a guy who was taking orders ahead of the cashiers. He helped speed up the process quite a bit. So he gets a special mention. Other than that, it’s exactly what you’d expect from the coffee chain.
