I bought my usual grande pike and decided to get the prepackaged Thai Chicken wrap. The staff didn’t offer a bag for my pre-packed lunch. I realized that I was struggling with my purse my laptop bag my coffee and my lunch once outside the Hyatt hotel. In other Starbucks I didn’t have to ask. Partly my fault I guess.

This is actually inside the Hyatt hotel. There is not a lot of seating inside. This is more a grab and go place or for those in the hotel to take something up to their room. I prefer coming to this location when I am by the station rather than the one that is just a block down ’cause I find that this location has the best customer service which is obvious since it is in a hotel with high tourist traffic. In other words, they are more conscious about putting their best foot forward to ensure that there is a positive reputation that these tourists are taking back with them to Vancouver. Not a lot in the pastry department, however, you can go one block down if there is something that is a must have.

I’m very hesitant giving Starbucks a 4 star but this location has its act together. Looks like a small store but they’ve maximized every seating opportunities. Bar seating on 2 different windows. Located inside Royal Centre jUST above Victoria Gardens which seems to be on the renos. A few segregated lounge seating areas as well as a good sized back room. I liked the 2 sofa seats right by the wall for maximum privacy. Ordered the winner’s drink, tall caramel macchiato. What’s best is it is all business people, no riff raffs ;)

For some reasons, I found other Starbucks nearby providing a better service. Maybe my bad experience was contributed by the poker face who’s behind the counter. Beverage quality is not much different to other Starbucks

This is our favourite Starbucks in downtown Vancouver. Outside of peak times(breakfast/lunch), they have a nice bench workplace where you can get some work done and the environment is nice. Benefit of being in Hyatt is the toilets are decent, which is an extremely rare thing for a coffee shop!

«Townies» they all pointed out to my brother and I as we entered this location, that’s the impression I got when I ordered something from here. Under everyone’s watchful eye the other customers quickly noticed that we were from out of town. Lots of hipsters and business folk here, especially during lunch hour. To the d-bag business guy in his suite standing beside me, yes I’m wearing Carhart pants and a fleece sweater but at least I have a backyard at my house. Drinks good, suits bad!

If you order their Blonde Roast, your coffee is made fresh in a pour-over paper filter cone right into your cup. Pretty damn swanky! I’m a fan. I still head next door to McDonald’s for my actual breakfast food though since the various Starbucks meat and cheese breakfast options are 60 – 210 calories more than a classic Egg McMuffin.

I think this one’s best utilized if you’re staying here as it was always packed, at least during my conference. They ran out of breakfast stuff pretty early on in the day over the weekend, too, which tells me that they are still working out the kinks, as I can’t recall seeing that happen at a SB too frequently. I have to say that this one is pretty efficient, and although the hotel might not be quite on par with the Fairmont, I appreciate that they have their own fast SB here with plenty of seating spilling out into the lobby. This is a heck of a lot better than an overpriced pseudo-SB coffee shop.

This Starbucks is located inside the Hyatt Regency Vancouver. Even though it’s part of the hotel, it looks like non-guests really enjoy this one too. I really like the open feeling of the place. The shop isn’t that big per se, but it opens directly onto the main foyer of the hotel, making the seating area look much bigger than what it really is. As for the drinks themselves? Starbucks delivered.
