Yeah, this place is great. So cheap, delicious, and filling. They’re very informal, almost like a hole-in-the-wall bakery. I think they do most of their business wholesaling to cafes and other businesses. The retail side is more like a side business.

* Hooray — they’re back! * Snowbear Bakery was one of my favourite Chinese bakeries in Richmond( ). They unfortunately closed last year and that made me pretty disappointed. Imagine my joy when I stumbled onto them in Vancouver now! They have pretty much all the same items, including my favourite red bean bun($ 1.55). They continue to shape it in a cutesy flower shape, instead of the classic round bun. The red bean filling is still not overly sweet(which is how I like it — more bean flavour, less sugar flavour), the bun itself is still fluffy and fresh. Delicious! Photo: Hooray!
