Meet the Business Owner

Rob S.

Business Owner

Rob Sommerfeldt started his music career later in life than most but that didn’t stop him from being chosen to be one of the students of The Nimbus School of Recording Arts sent to help Matt Good (Matthew Good Band) and Warne Livesey (Midnight Oil) record Lights of Endangered Species at Vogville Studio.

Upon a recommendation from Garth Richardson (Rage Against the Machine, Biffy Clyro) Rob was hired right out of Nimbus by Bear Studios, as Assistant Engineer, working on sound design for commercials and corporate videos.

Once a month he runs the controls for voice over workshops run by Marcy Goldberg. He has also worked on a number of demo discs for voice actors.

Rob has recorded local artists such as Cobbs11, Now You Know, Blackheart Branson, Heather Meori, Mysta Masaphory and Roy Furness, spanning genres of Hip Hop to Indie Pop to Dirty Blues.

Rob also consults with recording artists on how to set up their studios, improve their home recordings and has a mobile rig.
