Established in 2012.

On the path to Project Skin MD, Dr. McGillivray has founded some of BC’s most notable aesthetic centres including Whistler Laser, Lougheed Laser and co-founded Vancouver’s Pacific DermAesthetics.

Project Skin MD, Dr. McGillivray’s own final «project,» unifies the philosophies, best practices and desired faculties he’s collected on this journey into a singular, exceptional facility and experience.

After additional training in family practice at the University of Saskatchewan and diagnostic radiology at the University of Alberta, Dr. McGillivray has devoted his medical career to the advancement of aesthetic medicine through a synergy of artistry, science, innovation and integrity.

With a commitment to forwarding his industry, Dr. McGillivray is identified at the forefront of emerging technologies, speaking to his exceptional experience with such products as BOTOX® in Vancouver, BC. Along with Dr. Lupin, Dr. McGillivray was among the first Canadian physicians providing laser hair removal, Fraxel laser resurfacing, Thermage skin tightening and more. I highly recommend Project Skin MD in Vancouver BC. Once I realized I wanted help with my skin, I researched and found their website to pull me in. Invaluable to make the trip from Oregon to Canada to be with Dr. McGillivary and his team of nurses, doctors and specialists, with top of the line technology and products. I felt totally at ease in their hands once I had my first visit to the clinic, which was just last week. I found Dr. McGillivary to be very likable… kind, sensitive, genuinely caring, a really pleasant sense of humor combined with an expert eye for the anatomy of the face and how to make it look naturally rejuvenated. I think he really is an expert in his field. All the members of his team are also very versed at their parts. Making it all come together beautifully. And to take care of my investment, they have the highest quality top anti aging products that I know of. I’m thrilled to take the products and the knowledge I gained from them and take better care of my skin. I highly recommend their services and will be back for maintenance care.
To note, currently the Foreign currency difference from Canadian to US helped me to significantly save on my treatment expense. I highly recommend taking advantage of this time where their $ is much lower than our US dollar.
The amount I put down as a down payment along with the price of the initial consultation, was deducted from my total bill, which I was happy about.
I’m not sure where Dallas K (who wrote a review) was coming from, but that was not my experience at all, and am sorry that she wrote such a nasty review that could have potentially hurt their business.
I am really happy with my results, and still in my recovery period. I will post an images after I have healed.
Again, I highly recommend their services and will be back for maintenance care.

I must say that I was disappointed during my 10 minute consultation, which cost $ 100. To a degree, I understand that they don’t want their time wasted but I also didn’t need this. All I wanted was a quote. I knew I would be a candidate and this fee, to me, is a cash-grab. Because they can.
I was told that all of my areas qualified for treatment. Recently, I got a quote elsewhere and one of my areas was questionable, due to the shape of one thigh. My body is not symmetrical. I was advised it could probably be done but I would need to abstain from over-exercising to preserve a little extra bulge for the device. I appreciated the honesty coming from the other facility.
In the end, I did not choose Project Skin because I was quoted $ 700 above my other choice facility, despite losing my $ 100 consultation fee, and there were no bonus services included (such as a laser collagen facial which I also received in my package). I did not feel like I was in the best of hands and the facility felt too cold & clinical.

In the field of aesthetic medicine, this man is a master of his art and has a distinct reputation of being a leader with regards to his many unique and sought after technique based results. Additionally to being regarded as a genius in his field, this man is greatly loved as a person of great humility and thus attracting many loyal patients.
The team at Project Skin MD was carefully chosen being the best of their field and also reflecting the same value of humility that we see in Dr. McGillivary. It is a beautiful space and truly a place to be pampered and nurtured.
