I came to this location a few days later after going to another one that was closed down. I came here and was greeted and helped. The guy at the til was super helpful in recommending high fiber low calorie bars for me to eat in between meals that was low on the GL levels. The prices here and most locations are SEVERLY over priced, however, outside the internet this is the only location (chains) to my knowledge that carry a certain brand of supplement bars. I find that their protein powders are also extremely high priced for silly reasons. I gave it 3 stars based on the customer service and patience in answering my questions.

Know exactly what your goals are.
Exactly means specific.
Specific means no statements such as, «I want to lose weight» or «I want to be more healthy». Those two statements mean different things to different people. Not only that, those statements are vague to me. That’s the mentality that you need to have before you walk into this store. If not, they can still help you out here. They know what they’re talking about. It’s up to you to execute.
My story: I want to cut the last 2%-4% of body fat on me. It’s the hardest to lose. The guys here said the same thing. Even though I eat pretty clean, once you start talking the extremities of what I’m doing, you need to refine your nutrition even more. Mine wasn’t quite dialed in. I needed to make some changes in my plan. Those changes meant the timing of my carb intake. That was where I was failing. Even though I’m already low body fat, I was making a few mistakes. Those mistakes were holding me back. What I needed was expert advice. To me, expert advice means advice from people who not only talk the talk, but walk the walk. They’re all buff, and they all train and eat the way I envision.
So I got the advice, and I got casein protein from here. After some detailed discussions, I know what I need to to. I need to transform my cardboard nutrition plan into a slightly different cardboard nutrition plan. They will give you advice. That’s what I came for. You may not like the advice, but too bad. It’s the truth. The pricing of the supplements? Comparable to other places that I’ve seen. The advice was worth more.
I expect to hit my goal in two months.
Eat clean and train mean.

While being quite nervous about going after reading that review from February, and being very new into regularly taking supplements, suffice to say my experience here was far less intimidating and nerve-​wracking as David C.‘s. There was only one guy working there and he was friendly but not pushy when I arrived, I took my time and selected something small on sale for around ~$ 30 (prices were all around steep but I feel like they can afford to be in this area and this city) and went to pay. It was upon making small talk about there being no chip in my credit card (because it’s American) that the beefed up cashier made some comments about how he liked the chip because before when it was signing people’s names and «all these Chinese people» who «all look the fucking same» (he said this a couple more times) that really frustrated him. I was at a loss for words and thankfully had completed my transaction so I could hustle out of there, but man, that was weird, and messed up. So! Beware. I guess the racism is the price you pay for an overall «friendly» experience?

I’m noticing nobody has reviewed this place in awhile, so I thought I’d contribute some input in the hope of warning folks about how far downhill the business has gone. I’ve been in Kits for the last year and gave them a try last summer for awhile. I stopped going because the people who worked in the store were extremely rude, very obnoxious to deal with, and spent very little time listening to what your fitness needs were and more time pushing their opinions, regardless of your thoughts. The store is also VERY overpriced despite the sign out front. Unlike many other local shops, they will fight you on matching prices.
I recently went back to the store because I’d forgotten my pre-​workout mix at home and this place was on the way to the gym. I really wish I hadn’t. I figured I’d buy $ 3 pre-​workout sampler as I had in the past, and asked for one as I came in the door. I was greeted by a musclebound, tall guy who appeared to be on steroids. He looked through his basket of pre-​workout samples then tried to sell me a pre-​workout container instead. I said I only needed a one time use, since I had my ionized water bottle already full and ready to mix for today. He scoffed at me, told me I didn’t know anything about pre-​workout. I then found the sample pack I wanted to buy, put it on the counter and he got super aggressive at me at said, and I quote, «so what, you just come in here for a freebie is that your game», to which I showed him the $ 3 dollars in my other hand. He relaxed for a moment, but as I passed him the toonie and loonie, one of the coins rolled out of his hand back onto the counter. He then proceeded to stare me down until I picked it back up and set it in his hand. It was the most uncomfortable moment I’ve ever had buying something. He continued to stare me down as I left, to the point where I had to say, «don’t worry I won’t be back», to which he said, «that’s not gonna be a problem for us».
I rarely write negative reviews for things, but I’m still shocked that this guy used his physical presence to try and intimidate me while I was making a purchase. I highly recommend staying away from this place.
NEVER GOING BACK, NOT EVEN ONCE.

Usual stuff, incredibly expensive but for supplements, they have just about everything.

While I’m no bodybuilder and am not a huge consumer of different sports supplements, I thought I’d be the first to write something up about these guys. First off, the staff comes across being quite knowledgeable — most (all?) are fitness buffs /​bodybuilders. Second, and perhaps most important to people, their pricing is extremely competitive — I’ve been buying some of their Vega protein (vegetarian based) for the past few months… from what I can tell, they are the cheapest in the city and online too!
