Tourist trap, you are better off at the McDonald’s, Tim Horton’s or Starbucks in the same food court

Convenient that the food court is a direct under street walk from our Pan Pacific Hotel. Pita express is good considering it is fast Greek food. The owner is extremely nice… Always remembers us before and after our cruise. My son loves his cheery attitude even though I found he to be a bit aggressive. Still it was nice that the owner always gave my son extra treats with our meals.

I go here from time to time because it’s near my office. I was trying to be healthy so I went there today. The food is just ok. What kind of Greek restaurant has no lemon potatoes? I hate rice. Anyways I HAD to come to Unilocal and comment because I grabbed a cinnamon bun with my lunch and it was $ 3.50. Yes, $ 3.50. And it was disgusting — the worst cinnamon bun I’ve ever eaten. I’m so offended by that price that I may never return here again.

To start of with horrible service — very bad attitude at the counter. Got our falafel wrap and vegi platter. Platter was really bad — the hummus was bitter and probably not fresh(may even be canned). The falafel wrap was equally bad — bitter, bad taste. Would never come here again, it was total waste of money.

Looking for healthy options in the Food Court! This is your place! I got a freshly made omelet with veg ham cheese and fresh free range eggs! Great service! Friendly staff! Refreshing option in your standard food court hall!

From the minute you walk up to the store, I had a bad feeling. The owner is one of those guys who over sells you and entices you to eat there. Calling you to come closer and order, calling you«love/dear» to butter you up. He’ll automatically assume you are going to order they’re «special» and asks if you want beef or chicken before you even say anything. I got the souvlaki with chicken. After ordering and him putting together the place, he’s like we use«real chicken». My thought was opposed to what? He says he doesnt use processed chicken. ok. My friend got a pita wrap and he told her his greek salad is «made fresh» and according to my friend, its definitely not. Anyways, I thought the salad was probably the only thing that was decent. Chicken was dry and bland. The pita bread given to dip hummus was tough and hard. At the end of the meal i flicked the bread with my fingers and it made a tapping sound. Thats how hard it is. Their one saving grace was the Baklava desert. It was suggested by a friend and I thought it was pretty good(albeit its my first time trying it). Flacky pastry with honey, and a pistaccio nut center.

Like a dog turd in construction paper, and the annoying dewd wearing the Tupe is too much. Said he would give me a free pop and a special deal and when i went to pay the cashier charged me more than the regular price, when i confronted her she said oops I must’ve made a mistake. What a scam. Watch, how much they are charging you.

It was ok but I like to think that was chicken that I just consumed in my standard chicken pita and was that actually hummus served on top? Did not read the reviews; just went for it. I did read the reviews just as I was finishing, and it sort of ruined it for me. Honestly, it looked like the best thing around this food court. The salad was pretty good, overall, and seemed fresh. There wasn’t too much dressing. I guess it was only oil, but at least it wasn’t overdone in the way food court ladies are apt to do. The ladies here were pleasant enough, but I should have known that something was up when they expressed with laughter, «You’re our first customer all day.» It was at least 12:30 pm. Great. «Should I be concerned?» I asked, smiling; hopeful. But hey, it was a Saturday. Who would go here by choice on a Saturday, unless you were attending a conference close by and your time was limited? I probably wouldn’t, either. But I did. Because believe it or not, others thought that this would be a good«food court». The funny thing is, I’ve eaten here before, and when I’m in the same situation next year, this is probably where I’ll eat again, too.

Located in the Waterfront Centre food court. Unfortunately, the food here is not to my liking. Not even at food court standards — Downtown Vancouver actually has very decent food court offerings! I got the Lamb Souvlaki on my most recent visit. Lamb tasted funny, like it was a poor cut of meat and/or marinated strangely. Won’t be back.

Worst Greek Food I have EVER had. The sign says«Vancouver’s best Pita Wraps» well, let me tell you it is not by a long shot. Yes, it’s food court food but even food court food has standards. The rice was mushy and bland, the tzatziki sauce was gross and flavorless, food and drinks are overpriced. There is honestly nothing going for this place. For over $ 25 we got 2 chicken souvlaki plate and 2 drinks. Really? At this quality? $ 5 more and I can eat at a real restaurant. Seriously, save yourself from Greek food hell and avoid this place like a plague.

Food courts generally suck. Food courts inside business centres like Waterfront sucks more. Going to a business centre food court at 8PM is the suckiest sucks who ever sucked. Hey, they are there to solely sell overpriced food to suits who are in a rush — and all the suits have gone home. Food court being half-closed, I was presented with the option of McDonald’s, Taco Time, Subway, Tim Horton’s, Pita Express or a some random sushi counter. I wandered the ghost town food court despondently glazing over the menus at each counter — I didn’t want to eat, but I needed sustenance. When I got to Pita Express, the cashier eagerly greeted me. I figured that I should give the little guy a shot. The food prep guy seemed eager to please, so I trusted him with whatever he suggested — «You want the donair?» «Hot sauce?» «All veggies?». The only input I gave was the lamb meat over the chicken or beef since all of them look equally unidentifiable in the storage trays. Nope, you will not find glistening meat spinning upright on a grill here. But as he made the donair, I got more and more worried and starting thinking, «Hmm — I never had Sriracha on a donair before… whoa, why is my donair being put on a panini grill?» $ 7.95+tax for my *grilled* ‘donair’, which came with salad — pricier than the other fast food franchises — but hey, it might be good. It wasn’t. The meat was cold — and that’s why they grilled the donair. If it wasn’t for the Sriracha, it was pretty bland. No onions and not the slightest hint of tzatziki or spices — probably would have been a passable ‘wrap’ but this neither qualifies as a ‘gyro’ or a ‘donair’(if there’s a difference). I guess I can’t expect too much out of a in-and-out food court meal in a business district. But next time, I’m going to stick some mega-corp fast food franchise rather than trust a friendly smile.

Pita Express totes some sign above the cash register saying«Vancouver’s best pitas» — or something similar. A pretty big promise. Add to the mix a guy who yells out to food court dawdlers to come, enjoy Vancouver’s best pitas. And so I did with sky-high expectations. I ordered a chicken pita(nothing too fancy) and grabbed it to go. Best stick with the simple things, I thought, they are always the best. I’m digging back 18 months now, so I can’t recall the price. I’d wager it’s in the usually food court $ 7 – 8 plate range though. The service was prompt, fast and I was soon sitting outside in the summer sun tearing off the first piece of wrapping. A few bites later I was wondering just what happened to Vancouver’s best pitas. Mine was bland, mushy and all together unsatisfying. Had I not been promised the ocean packed up in a suitcase, I wouldn’t have thought too much about it. But don’t promise what you can’t deliver, Pita Express. Or you quickly lose customers.
