New Fruit King Produce

First off let me say that having come from San Francisco, this name «Fruit King» conjures images of a condom shop or a trans-​gender fruit eating contest. But this is a produce shop off Hastings just up the street from Donald’s Market and right next to McDonald’s.
Fruit King could also be called Vegetable King. (–I won’t even go there lol.) The variety is pretty good, but half of the store exists outside, under a canopy. Some things get droopy out there, and bugs think this is a great smörgåsbord.
The deals are okay as long as it’s in season. The owner claims the grapes are from BC (and he has a lot of grapes.)
Shopping for produce here is generally more economical than the larger stores and it’s more of a farmer’s market kind of feel.
