Ambiance & Service 2.5÷5. Small sushi joint with korean inspired décor. A few people waiting for take out but otherwise empty. All sushi is made by a guy hiding behind a cooler and curtains. Food 1.5÷5 ordered quite a few rolls and nigiri. Sushi rice was hard and flavorless. The only roll that was good was the yam tempera roll, everything else I ended up throwing away. Chopped scallop roll had a horrible fishy taste to it that they tried to mask with mayo… you can tell it’s been sitting around for a while. Dragon roll was okay but I saw them microwave the unagi which put me off. Nigiri rice was a hard rice ball… we ended up eating a salmon each and passing on the funny colored toro. Location 4⁄5 in Killarney complex so lots of parking. Cramped layout for the parkade so double check before you start making a turn. Along 49th bus route. Price 5⁄5. Super cheap. 2 cali rolls for $ 5 and most rolls are less than $ 7. You get what you pay for. Would I go back? Probably not.

Good simple sushi and great service. Stopped this neighborhood restaurant a couple times for some quick take out. On the most recent take out trip they forgot to include my wakame salad and the owner(a little middle aged lady) ran all around Killarney square looking for me so she could give it to me.

This is Korean owned Japanese restaurant around Killarney neighborhood. I got so hungry and ordered 2 California Rolls($ 5). It was really cheap but dry rice and no seasoning in the sushi rice. Few pieces were coming apart. They don’t know how to make sushi. The staff here were nice though. But food wasn’t good.

Although I have only eaten here a handful of times, I have never been disappointed by either the food or the service. I have eaten an assortment of basic rolls and have tried their miso soup which I find particularly good. The family that own and operate the restaurant are very sweet and friendly and I always feel good about spending money in my community and supporting family-run businesses. I would recommend this spot to anyone who is looking for a good standard sushi meal. My only word of caution is that their prices can be a little high.

Another Korean owned Japanese restaurant, not a bad thing, just an observation. Very small place(see my picture). Prices seem to be ok on the menu, the bento box which I ordered was in my opinion a little expensive for what you are getting compared to some otter places. Also added a negitoro cone just to try which I found to be about average(not the oily tuna belly I’d expect from a 4 or 5 star sushi joint). Anyways onto the bento box: good size portion of teriyaki chicken on bed of cabbage, a bit chewy Cali roll, soup, salad and gyoza pretty standard. Definitely way to much batter on the tempura though. All in all, if you’re in the area good enough to satisfy a sushi craving.

Great Service. Good food. Small portions. The sashimi was half the size you would expect to get. Ventalation for the restaurant is poor. oily smell. I guarantee if you eat in. Your clothes will smell like the the resataurant.

Maybe even a 3.5 considering that they delivery surprisingly, as it’s a tiny place, 6 tables with some bench seating on the right-hand side. Décor is basic enough to take out a first-date that you may not be serious about. Solid rolls, cali & negi rolls made tight & easy, Philly roll is good too if you like cream cheese, prices reasonable for the area, as there isn’t much other than Kingsway. Or the one in Champlain Mall, but MF is better. Being in such a busy plaza with the Killarney Market, Starbucks, Scotia Bank & Chevron, it’s very busy at times, hard to find parking so trust the high turnover of fresh food — that’s my barometer.

YUM Little Japanese restaurant located in Killarney Shopping Centre. Clean, and bright. Fresh sushi and Japanese staples. Nice variety on the menu without being too complicated. Prompt and friendly service. Prices that are good for the pocketbook. #30DaysOfYelp _____________________________________ 22⁄30 -(October 2012, 30-day challenge) *Review 385⁄365 personal challenge*

good place to grab a quick bite. if you’re looking for simple sushi dinner in this area, you have it. nothing fancy or impressive but clean and nice service. the price is decent and quality is good. their food is well portioned. 10% any take out orders $ 25 or more. plenty of parking, since it is located in the killarney shopping centre. i’d come here if i was in the area, but it’s not something i’d come out of the way for.
