I’m not a huge fan of the H-Mart in downtown, but my friend insisted that we visit the food court for lunch as she’s heard good things about it. I was skeptical, of course, but went along with it. We found this little store in the corner of the food court with kimbap, sushi, bento boxes, and some other hot deep-fried Korean snacks. My friend was a little indecisive and hovered over the different packaged meals several times. We were given massive stinkeye from the cashier lady garnished with occasional annoyed sigh. While this would be understandable if we were somehow in the way, we were not; in fact there was no other business except for us. This should have been a red flag. I settled with a roll of kimbap and a grapefruit san pellegrino, which tasted unusual but I couldn’t figure out whether it was because it went bad or if it was unrefrigerated. My roll of kimbap and my friend’s sushi combo both had horribly dry rice, much so the point where it was barely edible. She went and asked for another packet of soy sauce(she was only given a small packet for a rather large order) but was charged $ 0.10. The staff carried that same annoyed-looking expression throughout. I’m sure that they are only employees and do not own the store, as they would defiantly not be treating their customers in that manner. TL;DR– Rather rude staff. Sushi quality is poor to bad. Their Korean snacks may be more redeeming, but avoid this location if possible.

Offers some tasty Korean fast food treats that I haven’t seen offered much elsewhere! Favourite has to be the seaweed Tuigim! They also have an interesting black sausage and spicy stewed rice noodle combo… will definitely try that next time.
