When I can walk into a store, and walk out with a cool new splurge in hand, sans the splurge, I know I’ve found a great spot for quick and dirty retail therapy. The store is uncluttered, which is good for me, as any sort of rack rummaging usually results in me loosing my motivation to shop. The double edge sword though, is well spaced stores usually come with a little sticker shock. Not here. $ 30 for a awesome little shirt/dress and compliments all around. Sold!

This store is very hit and miss, but I went in here twice in the past two days and found three pieces that I liked. One was a thick, almost wool material dress, the other was a very simple but pretty charcoal coloured top, and the third item was a knit dress. The prices were about $ 75, $ 39, and $ 50 respectively — not too bad at all. I’m on a strict budget at the moment however, so I decided not to purchase these cute pieces. Oh! I nearly forgot — I also found some great cotton/cashmere blend lounge pants. I do a lot of travelling and these would be perfect for a flight so I will definitely go back and get them, plus they were only about $ 50.

Almost next door to Main Street favourite, Barefoot Contessa, Lushuz has some stiff competition. But, it manages to hold its own by carrying unique items that tend to be less pricey than what some of its Main Street neighbours carry. This store tends to carry a nice mix of trendy and funky women’s clothing ranging from night-out dresses to casual and office wear. Although there is an emphasis on what is current, I would describe this store as being fashionable but with its own unique edge, offering up items that most of-the –moment stores would not. Come here for staples such as well made slacks or for more funky items in groovy colours.
