The sushi was quite terrible. Luke warm and the rice was way too sticky. The sushi chef had to constantly shout out to the server who is at the back of the kitchen to take the order, refill the tea or take care of the register. There were only two people including myself at the restaurant. I didn’t really mind the lack of service but I couldn’t stand the sushi.

Great food for the great price! Food very well executed! Food was clearly made with care and the flavors really do stand out. Reminds you of an authentic japanese hole in the wall.

Tried their ramen, seems made from frozen noodle. The soup is more like soybean source soup. Very little toppings. No service and the servers were having their dinner right aside, talking loudly. Surely will not come again.

Big fan of Jun Sushi. This owner-operated location is a little small and I wouldn’t sit in for a meal but their takeout quality and value is great! Most lunch boxes are around 9 bucks and are well-rolled and fresh. I have tried a bento box here as well, I’m not a huge fan of deep friend anything but their food is less oily out of the frier. Miso soup is loaded with tofu and not too salty. Not the best I’ve had but definitely worth trying out. I recommend the Special A, great variety of rolls that will fill you up for the cost of a Subway sandwich!

Small place, great sushi and affordable. We had a sushi combo, a special roll and another regular roll and all were fantastic. If I lived here, I’d make a habit of this place, ordering 3 regular rolls for around $ 12 a meal. Also, their wasabi is fantastic and fresh.

Found rocks in scallop roll and the sashimi was the frozen kind, not very fresh. Overall not very good sushi… Felt like the cutting board wasn’t cleaned every time so the California roll had a weird squid taste. Will never go back :(

This place is ran by Chinese. Not authentic but very cheap. a bento box is $ 8. The place is not busy and the service is not that great. We were one of the 2 tables and it took them awhile to take our order. The restaurant only had two people. the chef making the sushi and I believe its his wife taking the order. Don’t think I will ever go back.

I didnt like the salmon box. It’s overcooked and too much teriyaki sauce. But the sushi was good. Just the right price vs quality. Server was fast.

My go-to sushi spot. Eat here at least once a week. Great brown rice sushi(Yam tempura is my roll of choice) made by the same sushi chef every time. I’ve eaten at some of the fanciest sushi places in the city, but I think this small shop has most of them beat.

I had the dynamite roll box and this was delicious. The dynamite roll was just the right amount of cold, the teriyaki chicken was excellent and so was the tempura and salad. The great thing about this dynamite roll was that they use 2, count them…2 prawn tempura’s instead of the normal one in a dynamite roll! The place might be a little dingy, but the food was very good and delicious and very inexpensive.

solid 3.5 stars, though obviously i haven’t been back since i posted those pics lol. Which means, better than average sushi, and decent prices. It’s a small place, nothing pretty inside but clean, so not really a date material place. Not authentic in terms of japanese owned. plenty of metered parking all around, though there’s still free parking along the side streets.

I had Special #2(6pcs B.C. Roll, 6psc Salmon Roll &6pcs Tuna Roll) at least twice a week when I lived in the neighbourhood. I still go back whenever I visit Vancouver… and they remember me(and my order). The fish was always fresh and delicious. Not the fanciest joint but a great spot for inexpensive sushi. Oh, to get this quality of sushi in Montréal(never mind at this price).

Ordered sushi to be delivered at my place for a hangout with friends. The food arrived on time but the delivery guy didn’t speak much english and didn’t really know where to go to meet me. My friends and I really love sushi so we finished the platter quickly but didn’t think too highly of it. All of us have had better sushi before at different places and wasn’t too filling for us. The sushi wasn’t too expensive for the number of pieces we were getting but I would want to try another restaurant’s sushi next time to see if there’s anything better around.

Decent if you’re really desperate for cheap sushi that satisfies your sushi craving. My roommate and I were craving for some one night and decided to go. Their portions weren’t big and didn’t have a lot of substance. I ordered a roll, cone, salmon sashimi, and a few pieces of nigiri sushi and was still hungry. My roommate ordered a dinner box and felt the same. Also, slowest service ever. It seemed like they couldn’t handle the dinner orders that were coming in. We had to wait a while to order, and then some more for our food, and so did the other tables. One lady ordered take-out and after 25 mins, she gave up and said she didn’t want her order anymore. Go to The Eatery instead if you can wait and pay a bit more.

Quiet unassuming place, found it by accident and serendipity. Perfect for take-out dining on Jericho beach.

This sushi place is the perfect place if you want a cheap bite to eat. Their sushi is always fresh and tasty. I frequently eat here when there is nothing to eat in my house or I need a quick bite to eat. Today I got a dynamite roll, an avocado roll and two shrimp sashimi for less then 10 dollars. They always fill me up and I always feel satisfied after eating there. I’ve eaten here so often that the owners know who I am and I always tip well because of it. It’s a small privately run business so they really appreciate your business and always try to do their best for you. Their son is the delivery driver, Jun makes all the sushi and his wife is the waitress.

I’m pretty sure my office has paid Jun’s rent a time or two… we go there a LOT. So after years of eating here, this is what I have to say: –Jun is cheap, but good quality. The fish is always fresh and the rice is always just right. Their prices are actually reasonable, a rare thing this far into Kits. –The owners are courteous and lovely. When they see me on the street they always remember me and say hello. –They have brown rice sushi, for the addition of 50 cents per roll. I was dubious until my bosses ordered it for me one day, and then I was converted. Try it out, it adds a delicious nutty background to the fish and is also a bit more filling… mmm. Overall, I’d say Jun is one of the better places this side of Macdonald. I’ve never had a meal there that I was unsatisfied with. The Bento boxes are a great deal, and they have no problems with me substituting rolls for other items. Delightful.

Thanks Unilocalers for all your great reviews! That was the deciding factor on figuring out where to order sushi tonight for Valentine’s dinner with my husband and kids. The fact that they deliver and have an online menu sealed the deal. At first I couldn’t get through and felt defeated but my daughter and I headed down to the car and as soon as we started the engine she got through. Bingo! They were having a busy night which meant delivery was going to take longer but we were prepared to wait. Ordering for three teenagers and two adults means you need a lot. I tried to stick to the basics as they’re not really into the super exotic ingredients. Here’s what we got; 5 miso soup 1 edamame 1 pork gyoza — amazingly delicious 2 agedashi tofu 1 — $ 20 party tray(54 pieces assorted) 2 yam tempura rolls 2 spicy tuna rolls Everything was so fresh and delicious but those pork gyoza get extra special mention. I often judge a place by the strength of their wasabi and this stuff was KNOCKOUT! Everything got gobbled up and my sweethearts were all sated. With a decent tip this all worked out to under $ 13 per person! This is definitely going to be our go-to sushi delivery place from now on.

EXCELLENTEXCELLENTEXCELLENT! It’s my go-to comfort sushi place. Although the setting is very casual(don’t expect any fancy decorations), the sushi is great. and not to mention, also a great price; a cucumber roll(6 pcs) is 2 dollars! The waitress is shy, and is probably exhausted because she and her husband I think work everyday, 12 hours. So don’t be miffed if she doesn’t seem energetic.

A small take away kinda place, Jun’s ramen, udon, teriyaki and yakisoba menu picks are a cooked food compliment to the wild salmon serving assortment of sushi. Reasonably prices and free parking to boot, it’s a decent quick fix. Being into cones right now, I set my sights on the avocado and salmon, and the BBQ Eel roll. Both were fantastic. Fresh fish, ripe avocados and the seaweed had the right amount of bite. My sunomono salad was amply stocked with shrimp, but I wouldn’t say it was the freshest tasting. The vinegar and noodles though, were just the right amount of chill and chew. If this were my hood I could see myself becoming a regular.
