Jennifer Kotsiuk Gallery was established in 1997 and was originally located on South Granville before its recent move to Yaletown. Represented here are Canadian, American and European artists. The aesthetic of this space is as diverse at the nationalities of its artists; what ties them together is theme. Nature is often cited and re-interpreted in a more organic fashion, with everyone colliding in their discussion of how nature’s affects the artist, the individual and society. Marianne Lovink, a Toronto-based sculptor, is a personal favourite. Her work is whimsical yet carries so much depth as its organic silhouettes lend itself to whatever space it inhabits.
