Gawd, who pooped on the sales associates cereal this morning? Decent clothing and shoe stock that you’ll be hard pressed to find elsewhere but terrible, terrible customer service. I came in about 1.5 hours hell bent on buying a winter coat that I had previously tried on at another location. Before I came in, the other associates assured me that the coat was at this location and seeing as it was in a more convenient location, I opted for Oakridge. After looking around the store, finding the coat in different colours, I asked the rep if the coat I had tried on just the day before was here. This rep didn’t even crack a smile. Instead, her reaction was more along the lines of if I had walked into her store, spilled my damn coffee on her nice mannequins, pulled down a display of nicely folded clothes, smacked a baby and proceeded to let out a huge fart out in front of her. It was that disdainful. Ok, I’ve worked an absurd amount of customer service jobs so heck I know sometimes the day sucks, I give her that, so in as nice of a manner as I could, I asked if she had the coat in the other colour. She proceeded to insist that the coat only came in two colours. Over and over again. Now hold up, I have my crazy days and I have my off days where I can’t find the keys that are in my hand, but my sanity is intact enough to know that I tried on that damn jacket in a different colours less than 24 hours ago. At this point, her attitude wasn’t getting any better, but I wanted that jacket so I requested that she call up the other store or check the computer and let the other shop know I was coming. And lo and behold, eye roll, bored look and«the phone is busy» response. Beautiful. I ended up leaving, still wanting that coat(hey its cold out here) but sure that I won’t be spending any more of my cash here. Seriously, would it kill you to be courteous?

Every time I check this place out, I think«Entourage», what those boys would wear. Except for Turtle as there aren’t any baseball caps or anything that would fit him, lol… anyways i digress… Usual styles of Diesel, Converse, G-star jeans can be found here… today saw a bunch of fleece, down jackets et al. Impressed by its shoe selection, a few UK&LA brands(yes, more Entourage). A more than decent clearance section too, good selection. friendlier service than Boys Co, no question.

After a bit of prodding from JN, I finally decided to check out this place and some *denim*. This is my first stop. There are a couple of other places I am going to look at. The store merchandise is geared towards a twenty year old — out of my age range. Unisex fashions. Not a lot of stuff in there for me. I didn’t like the majority of it. That said, I did look at the jeans. Dark wash raw denim. Hmmmmm… can I pull off that look? More than likely, I think I can. I can use them on my jeans Fridays. I need to try them on. I’ve tried on dark wash raw denim at American Eagle before, but it was a D.I.S.A.S.T.E.R all around. Then again, that was American Eagle for a $ 40 pair of jeans. The jeans at J2 are the premium jeans, and I can never justify paying greater than $ 100 for denim. Especially when my dark wash straight leg Levis and Banana Republic’s fit so well. I am looking at the United denim right now. We’ll see what happens. So this is foreign territory in J2 for me. I am going to come back. I will wear something appropriate and try something on to see whether it really is worth it to buy jeans at that kinda price range.
