History

Established in 2011.

Martin’s dream of helping people to feel and look their best finally came through in April 2011 when he officially launched Iron Lab Strength & Conditioning. At that time he was still working part time at Peak Fitness as an independent trainer.

In June 2013 he became independent and decided to fully focus on serving Iron Lab clients and building the business. Martin chose Denman Fitness as Iron Lab home thanks to its central location, non intimidating atmosphere and an amazing staff.

In July 2014 Armida joined Iron Lab as the most efficient Client Care manager. She takes care of all scheduling tasks. Since then Martin has interviewed handful of personal trainers, however none of them yet passed the expectations and quality required for Iron Lab. The search continues as the growth of Iron Lab.

In 2015 Martin spend learning more about psychology, mindsets and «inner game» stuff through life coaching to further enhance success of Iron Lab’s clients.

I grew up in Czechoslovakia. My dream to be a hockey player was checked early at age 6 as I was already too old to join. With no dream I did nothing to improve myself so became a scrawny, out of shape teenager with a soft belly who was unable to perform at any sport without an embarrassment.

I hated my soft body, the way I look. My tipping point was watching a pirated Rocky IV when I was 15 years old, I decided to start lifting weights to be strong.

Since those early days, I tried every promising training and nutrition system. I flexed my muscles while experimenting with popular bodybuilding training programs, kicked high in Taekwondo classes and almost got killed in an elite Czech Special Forces (yes I really wanted to be Rambo).

Since those days I have never stopped learning anything that can help my client to get better results. I want everybody to be happy and proud how they look and feel and don’t feel embarrassed about their body (like I used to be).
