Like Clairs, however, a little more adult and neutral in style and taste on a dime. Great for one off pieces for those who have trouble making large commitments to jewelry. Prices are very decent for something that isn’t intended to last long(depending on the piece). This store used to be awesome, however, merchandising has really gone down hill, especially in this location compared to Metrotown. They have an opportunity to cash in on a demographic but they’re letting it slip. I buy press on nails here sometimes.

This is where I came to get more grown-up things than Claire’s on Granville, like longer droopy earrings. I don’t understand why people would want to buy make-up here… It has cheap-kind-of-cute packaging, but doesn’t seem quality. I found some steals for $ 2 at their 75% off closeout sale in April 2011. It was a fun drop-in store, but I won’t be mourning its closure.

Everytime I wander into Icing by Claire’s on my way home from work I find myself wondering why the heck I even bother anymore. This store used to have decent quality items if your not an everyday jewellery wearer and you need something in a pinch to wear to the club or even to a formal event. The products have gone down hill drastically in the last couple years and I find everytime I walk in there things just start to look cheaper by the day and it just keeps getting more expensive! I went there today looking for a clutch purse(I am only gonna use it once so I am not gonna spend big money on it!) and they had a selection of about 10 styles which mostly look like you would find them in the bargain bin at a flea market and they start at $ 20! This store used to serve a purpose for me but now I tend to buy 1 maybe 2 items from the bargain rack for $ 2 and call it a day. I think I will be buying my last minute jewellery items from H&M from now on!
