I bought fried rice. Clumps of wite steamed rice inside of the«fried rice»… Ginger beef was sliced into little tiny strips no thicker than a crayon. Sauce out of control. And gross. Delivered in plastic containers. Took a few bites and trashed it. I’ve had to many bad experiences returning Chinese food. This was absolute garbage. But hey it arrived fast. 1 Star. Legit.

Oh my… Food came fast and that is the only nice thing i can say. This was one of the worse meals I have had in a while and the the worse Chinese for sure. I wish I could find something positive about the food, but I can’t.

I don’t order from here often, when I do, it’s usually when It’s very late at night and all the other stores are closed and the only ones that open are pizza stores. The food is just your average chinese food. They deliver until 12am and 1am in the weekends. Delivery driver is also very friendly. If you’re hungry and it’s late at night and don’t feel like pizza, this is your place(I guess it’s the only place)

Unbelievable food. You want Chinese this place is so good. Ginger beef is ahhmazing. Crispy saucy little spice muahhh delish! Beef and broccoli also so good. I read the other reviews, its harsh for ppl to say bad service because there is a language barrier and I thought the service was great! Very friendly and so quick. This is not somewhere to go dine its called hot delivery for a reason ppl. Anyway, highly recommend! Bön appetite!

If I could give them no star I would! I have ordered from them numerous times before and have never once had a good experience with them. We called and placed an order which was taking a while so I called to see if it was on the way. They stupidly sent the driver to east 11th instead of west 11th ave like I said in the first place 3 times as she asked me to repeat it because she can’t speak English. I ask for a discount for the trouble and to see how much longer it will be as my partner had somewhere to be in 45 minutes. They said no and said you are in a hurry we can’t don’t it for you and hung up on me. They have the worst customer service I have experienced in this city and will never ever order from them again and suggest people do the same if you want to sAve time, money and avoid a full on argument because they can’t understand English! Absolutely livid!!!

I like this place been ordering here for a long time. The guy shout friendly even remembers who I am which is cool. Usually get some free shrimp rolls which is also cool. I’ve tried a lot of the stuff on the menu it’s all decent, and better portions n quality than other places in the area. Seriously gotta try the curry beef brisket it’s pretty badass, the ducks not too shabby either

My boyfriend and I order delivery from here a lot because they deliver later than everywhere else. The food is never very good, and you never know what to expect. We have had the same dish look and taste completely different on multiple occasions. This is providing that they bring you all of the correct items that you ordered. Overall it’s an okay place to order from if it’s your only late night option. Otherwise I would go somewhere else.

If you’re looking for good greasy western style Chinese food this is it. Ordered in and took about 45 minutes.

Best. Place. Ever(for Hangover Food). But normally I would never come close to this place — the service is bad, there are 2 seats for dining in but something they put in their MSG cures even the worst of a hangover instantly. Props to the best handover cure ever

How can anyone screw up sweet and sour pork? Yes I expected this to be targeting more of a western market in this area but still, just not so much food coloring ok?! Any more red, u might as well dump the whole bottle! Should’ve trusted my fellow Unilocalers. Taste was nothing home to write about. Parkings tough on Oak at times. Just had figured my theory that’s it’s been around a long time… About 4 tables, not much of a sit-down as they primarily do delivery. Would advise Sun Garden nearby instead.

Fresh and HOT. But it took it’s sweet time getting to my doorstep last night. Besides the wait it was a pretty delicious medley of bad-for-me foods. Between 4 of us we shared veggie chowmein(actually, i ate the whole thing), schezuan beans, chicken chowmein(not me), beef and broc(not I, again) and sweet and sour prawns. They gave us 4 free spring rolls and the bill was around $ 50 after tip, with enough leftovers for my roomate to have a huge midnight snack. Not too shabby. Clean up was a breeze ;)

Why oh WHY did I not check on Unilocal before ordering from this place?! Probably because it was after 9pm on a Sunday, and Toko wasn’t an option, and I’ve had a Chinese food craving for about a week. I had food from here years and years ago… as in, over a decade, and I don’t recall it being bad at all. Thirty bucks down the drain! All I can say is that their food is VILE! We ordered sweet and sour pork, Singapore chow mein, and beef chop suey with black bean sauce. The pork tasted weird/off. The chop suey had such a disgusting chemical taste to it, but also far far too much oyster sauce in it. Perhaps they just dumped in the whole damn bottle and tossed in a couple of black bean skins? The chow mein was dry, as in stick in your throat as you swallowed it dry and was so heavily flavoured with curry that I couldn’t taste anything else… not that I’d want to. I’m assuming that the 2 or 3 pieces of shredded solid substance was chicken. Who the hell knows. Disgusting. The«food» and I use this term in the most loose sense, seemed like it was scraped out of the bottom of metal bins at the end of a long Friday night from the shittiest Chinese food kiosk at the shittiest mall. Not to mention, the food was definitely not hot when we got it, so they couldn’t even do that right! Oh, and I should also add that I felt really quite ill early this morning — my stomach just twisting and turning away. Ugh. I didn’t even want to drink my usual morning coffee, and I’ll be happy if I even want to eat a piece of toast for breakfast, bloody hell! Honestly, the food is horrendous! Bad enough that I called them back to say that their food was terrible, and not hot to boot. The woman said she was sorry and they’d try to make it better next time. I simply said to her that there will not be a next time. She didn’t sound overly concerned, and said, «Oh, Ok». All I can say is that I think my craving for Chinese food has been cured for a very, very long time, as I will probably have flashbacks about this crap for a while. Unilocal needs to add a negative stars option, ’cause giving this place even one seems far too generous.

I’m in the process of both trying to find what I LIKE to order for chinese food, and where I’d like to order from! I admit, this makes it a little hard because I’m often ordering things I’ve not had before which raises the risk of not liking it, even it was from a good place… hence, my massive order for one for my Hot Delivery test: pot stickers: Amongst the worst, and the most disappointing part of the order. Very bland, and the dipping sauce thing was odd and gross spring roll: Super greasy, didn’t have much filling– another disappointment. These two things are sad because they are the fail-safe of my Chinese food experimenting; I end up paying more and over ordering because I want to try new things, but also want to have a spring roll, and some pot stickers on hand in case the new things suck. But these kinda blew. Veggie Chow Mein: Not great, but not bad either. These were the thicker noodles(don’t know why, I was under the impression I had ordered the cripsy chow mein, but that could have been my fault/misreading) there were a good portion of veggies in it, and while not exciting, I did eat it. Szechuan style Braised Tofu Chop Suey: Tasty enough, though I don’t know if I’d necessarily order it again. I haven’t had it before, so I can’t compare, but it was it was good, just not my favourite sauce. If you like Szechuan style sauce I think it’d be a fair hit Chicken in Black Bean Sauce: Ok, this was completely gross to me, and will be thrown out entirely after one bite. BUT I hadn’t had black been sauce before and now I know to never have it again. If you LIKE black bean sauce, I can’t comment on the quality since it’s new to me. The delivery was hot, as intensely promised– so they don’t have to change their name or anything… and the price is not unreasonable, though a little bit more than some other places. This is definitely not the delivery place I’m looking for, but I gave it a three instead of a two because honestly if I don’t find something better, I’ll probably order again for when the odd craving hits. I’ll stick to the generic stuff though, like ginger beef and the balls of chicken, and just call in sick the next day…

Good food, fresh and certainly«hot delivery» — our feast arrived 30 minutes after we ordered, and it was early New Year’s Eve.(we live 7 minutes away) The driver was cheerful and patient, as was the order taker on the phone. This is solid North American Chinese style with a Szechuan twist — the dry garlic chicken wings were sensationally spicy with black pepper, red chilis, and jalapenos, and such fun to munch on New Year’s eve. Deep fried wontons, a first for us, were crispy, no old oil here(my favorite gripe) and teasingly fragrant with anise. 3 kinds of mushroom with seasonal veg was piled with mountains of crisp, bright green broccoli, sweet onion, long green beans, and a generous mix of munchy ‘shrooms. The deal maker was the Orange Peel Beef — tantalizing citrus flecked with hot red pepper covered slivers of tender beef, delicious enough that my slightly jaded dining partner declared«we will order this again»…and then we munched until we could not move! Hot Delivery was enthusiastically recommended by my neighbours, who regularly order in for family gatherings. Located on Cambie at 14th Avenue, it’s a small, local business staffed with friendly, happy folks who are eager to please. It serves good, honest food, in generous quantities at fair prices.

First of all… I have NOIDEA why everyone has a hate on for this place. We visited there on a Friday evening, they were rather busy and we sat in to eat. They made every attempt to make sure everything was fresh and the service was quite exceptional. The woman serving us checked on us, made sure we were happy with everything, and even the gentleman there thanked us for eating there and made sure we were happy with everything. My partner and I thought the food was fresh, not greasy, well prepared and reasonably priced for the area. It was a little on the pricey side, but for Cambie street business in Vancouver I can imagine why their prices are a little high. Not a big deal. Parking there sucked but again, its downtown Vancouver practically. Portions! Very generous. I could not finish everything and had to take some home and I was full when I left. Fried rice was exceptionally good. wontons were good. My partner had fries with curry sauce and he said they were quite good. Again, have no idea why the other reviews on here are thumbs downing, maybe because we ate in. It was brought right to us. Also, if you want to dine in this place. it is very small and not designed for eating in. I would not recommend bringing a party of no more then 4 there. There was only 2 of us and it was still quite small. OHYES… the MSG thing. We could not tell if there was MSG or not because on the menu it stated«NOMSGAVAILABLE». We didn’t make mention of this but again it didn’t taste any different from other Chinese food we have gotten from other places.

I have ordered a few times from here and just have a few comments. First of all this is western chinese food, not real chinese food. That’s fine, I like both. I order delivery and it’s always hot. It’s always exactly what I expect: cheap, decent tasting, MSG-laden white-people chinese food. So I order only when having the rarest of cravings and it does the trick but don’t go thinking this is some high class fancy pants place. It’s like getting mall food court chinese food so take that into consideration.

We order take out from here once a month and have done so for at least a year. We have never had food poisoning so not sure if it was an isolated incident with the previous reviewer or we have been exceedingly lucky. The food is good, as far as take out chinese food goes — plentiful and well priced. We always order the dinner for three(there are three of us but we’ve served up to five with this meal) and there is a special in which you can get an extra order of chicken fried rice free with your order. Be sure to ask about it when you order because it won’t be brought up otherwise! Home delivery takes about 45 minutes and my favorite part about it is the ability to pay via interac — so handy when you don’t have bills on hand.
