Greater Vancouver Baptist Church is a diverse, multicultural community of people who are devoted to loving God, loving each other, and spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ to our community and the world.

History

Established in 1982.

Greater Vancouver Baptist Church was started in July 1982 by Pastor Gordon Conner and wife Josselyn. The church began to meet as Bethel Baptist Church in the Sunset Community Centre. After several years the church outgrew its location and moved into rented facilities at the Wilson Heights United Church on 41^st Ave. In 1990, the Lord provided our current location at the corner of Kingsway and Victoria through a merger with the Peoples Fellowship Tabernacle. The two churches continued on under the leadership of Pastor Conner under the name Tabernacle Baptist Church. In 2005, the church officially changed its name to Greater Vancouver Baptist Church. Throughout the years we have seen the Lord bless His church here in this great city.
