If you like your barbers chatty, Italian, and incredibly detailed than Dominicks is the best place to get a haircut in the city. There’s oldies on the radio, Elvis in the storefront, and 50 years of history to pick through while you’re waiting. It’s cash only, about $ 20 with a good tip, and transit accessible. The barber, Terry, has regulars visit him regularly. This could be because he’s got a discount for seniors, or it could be because his father started the barbershop 50 years ago. Either way, it’s really amusing seeing the anecdotes they share, and how he can get a discussion moving between Elvis and organic food(guess which one he likes). My haircut took a bit longer than other barbers, but it came out perfectly and with a complimentary straight-razor trim around the edges. And I got to pet a pretty cute chihuaha(pictured) while I was waiting. 5⁄5 good job on being my new barber, Terry.

Great place for a haircut. Terry is always very friendly to his customers or anyone new. Open Tuesday to Saturday — if you go during the week usually between 9 – 12 — it isn’t as busy. Saturday is a busy time with wait time for over an hour. Price is up to $ 17 for children and adults while seniors pay $ 16
