I buy most of my clothes here, the prices are really good especially on sunglasses. The staff has also always been really helpful. Highly recommend if you’re looking for skate or surf clothes at a reasonable price

Very extensive surf shop. There aren’t that many in the city and the few that have popped up have been serving the seen with purpose. Good customer service. Mid to high prices, brand depending.

Lots of surprises in this shop! Wide selection of items and well priced. The staff always greets you at the door and provide help without hesitation. The one thing about this place is it’s important you come in at the right times. By «right times» I mean when they get new arrivals for the season or just an inventory restock. Otherwise you might find yourself looking through a collection of clothing that does not fit or interest you. Great local shop. Parking in the rear of building.

Came here for the after christmas sale for women’s ski clothes. Everything was 40% off. They have a big selection of trendy brands, 686, Hurley, and some others. Meant for the teen and twenties crowd I think. None of the higher end brands are carried,(North Face, Patagonia, Arcteryx, Helly Hansen, etc). But still, great prices and some cute jackets and pants at cheap prices.

Surf & snow apparel bargain store of Vancouver. A must for deal hunters! Sample sales are good, but this place is always open with lots of brands. I almost always find what I’m looking for or else something completely different at a great deal.

Incredibly cheap wholesale type store. Product is usually picked over and sizes for tall people like myself are rarely there, but when you do find something the price is WAY less then you’d pay elsewhere.

I’ve never noticed Fun In the Sun before and I happened to walk in today. They have a lot of casual or surfer brands and they are CHEAP. I ended up buying this pair of cute white«Ripcurl» shorts and comfy«Gentle Fawn» tank top. They were both 40% less than the retail price. There’s also a whole rack of bikinis and swimsuits right now in case you wanted to update your swimwear. The only downside is that the items are from last season’s or older. However, if you are willing to dig, you can find some really great gems. The cashier was also really sweet and came over from behind the counter to play with my dog. I’m a sucker for people who are good to my dog. =)

I found the shopkeeper so rude I don’t think I’ll go back. I’d been probably about 4 times, and while it’s cheap, the same stuff seems to have been sitting on the racks for a couple years. I’ve never found anything there and definitely wouldn’t suggest going out of your way to check this place out.

So as much as I enjoy the surfer shops on 4th by Burrard, you end up paying more to have the genuine surfer dude working there. But all the name brands like Billabong, Roxy, Volcom, Quicksilver are way cheaper at Fun in the Sun on 4th. The setup is easy, just racks and rows of clothing including jeans, bathing suits, board shorts, dresses, and hoodies. They also carry flip flops, belts, wallets, purses and some shoes. Pretty good hidden gem with the selection they had(bonus 25% off red tags too!) Definitely worth taking your brother or boyfriend to as the woman’s stuff has been picked through. Racks of men’s shirts, hoodies and board shorts. ** Update** Found out yesterday that they ONLY do exchanges. There is No store credit or refund. so be super sure you want what you buy!

Beach wear brands a much lower prices than other places. They have shoes, swimwear, t-shirts, dresses, shorts, flip flops, belts, jeans, accessories and a lot of other stuff. There is a huge selection of everything so you’re sure to find something you like. Brands like Roxy, Quiksilver, and Billabong are abundant and at great prices. Definitely the place to go if you’re headed down south for a vacation or getting ready for beach weather here.

Fun in the Sun is a cute little surf shop tucked away along 4th in Kitsilano. It sells past(and some current season) surf and snow brands at discount prices. A guy friend took me and there is no way I would have stumbled upon it. It’s such a fab little place that I’m almost scared to let people know where it is. This is the place to get your beach wear this summer. It has all the brands including Roxy, Billabong, Quiksilver, Volcom, Reef, Paul Frank, O’Neill and DC to name a few. They’ve got all types of clothing and accessories. Jeans, hoodies, t– shirts, jackets, casual tops, shirts, bikini’s, board shorts, flip flops, bags, belts, and a small assortment of shoes and trainers(mainly boys, not so many girls). They also have a small stock of winter wear still in there too. There were some really good prices on ski jackets, snowboard pants, beanie hats and goggles. The shop isn’t huge but there’s a great selection and there’s as much guys stuff as there is for girls. The staff are pretty friendly and helpful, the only downside are the changing rooms which are pretty small and there’s often a queue as people are trying on so many things. Last time I went I picked up two pairs of shorts, flip flops and a very cool bright yellow top for the beach. I’ve received compliments on everything and they cost less than two regular priced items in a usual surf shop. Fun in the Sun may be a little off the beaten track but it’s definitely worth the trip.
