With backgrounds in engineering and design, Chris Isfeld and his brother Brett have are the ‘dream team’ of closet design. Business Owner

The Designer Closet Guys are brothers Chris and Brett Isfeld. They’re stylish and closet savvy. They founded Designer Closet Guys in 2007 and are now co-owners, managing a team of highly skilled designers and installers.

With a background in engineering, Chris offers an intricate eye for detail and is precise in his designs. He’s been in the closet design industry for more than 14 years and has the expertise to advise on all the big decisions from storage planning, lighting and accessories to paint colour and wood grain.

With his warm and engaging personality, Brett sets the bar high when it comes to personalized service. His style, flair and eye for design have resulted in numerous beautiful spaces and satisfied customers.

I worked with Brett who provided me with a suggested plan, revised it a number of times to accommodate my requirements and then installed the cabinets and drawers in my in-suite storage room. Throughout Brett was professional and very knowledgable. He knew how cabinets would fit into my somewhat awkward space. I would never have figured out how to configure the room. He has a huge advantage over the franchisee closet people I’ve dealt with in the past who only had prescribed sizes and configurations and were not real designers of storage space. I would recommend Designer Closet Guys without any hesitation. Best money I ever spent!

I found DESIGNER CLOSET GUYS on Unilocal,sent an email right away and they answered me couple hours later.
Okay, I have to be honest: as they told me, they are a small busy company and their schedule for an appointment is very tight and I was almost giving up because of that, but I decided to go ahead. Yay! Good decision. After 2 weeks, Brett came to see the space where I wanted to put my closet and a media center. He measured everything, gave some ideas of colors, style etc. He was really nice and helpful!
Couple days later, he sent me some more ideas by email… the closet? Love it! Good price for the service too. The media center? Unfortunately, He didn’t have the color I wanted and he couldn’t do some fancy stuff that I was planning. Anyways, I decided to go ahead just with the closet and think more about the media center later.
He scheduled the installation for around 3 weeks later. Pretty fast comparing with the time that other companies gave me. Brett and Jamie came on right time and installed everything beautiful and carefully. And it looks much better than I expected! I told him I wanted a TV in one side of the closet, but I didn’t expect my TV would fit with perfection.

You might be thinking: wow! Designer closets? She must have some big extravagant house and hundreds of pairs of shoes :) While the latter part of that statement is only a bit of an exaggeration, swimming in house, I am not. 2 people, living in just over 500 sq ft, and a cat, one of us working from home, plus an active life means we’re full up of stuff. And, we only have 2 closets, so I have been determined to maximize space. But I’ve honestly been failing there. There’s only so much you can do with labeled shoe boxes.
Enter, the Designer Closet Guys. Yes, I was drawn into their google ads because of their name and the sleekness of their site. Even though I’ve been told that the price for these guys is far less expensive than the California Closets etc, it’s still pretty steep, and I will admit, I was a little sticker shocked. I had my reasoning though.
Consultation took an hour to measure, design and show what the closets would look like on some cool, 3D software where they could manipulate the materials used and provide a quote right on the spot. We knew exactly what we were getting. After taking my deposit, the turnaround time was only 2 weeks.
To save on costs, we stripped the old closet out and painted beforehand. Arriving at 1030 on a Monday morning, they were in and out by 1. Judging by the time it took just to strip and paint, (and the fact that once it took 2 hours for two of us just to put up 3 little bathroom shelves), I was happy to pay for my lightening fast closets!
And now, looking at my new closets, I’m over the moon! Everything that once lived inside, now has an actual home… and there’s so many empty shelves that I don’t even know what to put on them… guess it’s time for more shoe shopping ;p
