Cravings Restaurant + Lounge offers daily lunch and dinner and brunch on the weekends as well as take-out, banquet and catering services. Our menu offers a wide selection that can be enjoyed by all. From a fresh quinoa salad to our fully loaded Cravings Burger to braised short ribs, our menu covers all the bases. We offer a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan options for our guests as well as an entire gluten-free menu.
Cravings Restaurant + Lounge is proud to be partnered with the Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise program and ensures that all of our seafood is caught through sustainable means. We are committed to using fresh, local, sustainable and organic ingredients whenever possible, so your meal is good for the environment as well as the soul.
History
Established in 1991.
The doors were opened on March 17, 1991 by Angelo Khoshaba. We started out as Cravings Café, a local soup and sandwich joint with basic décor, good, simple food, an old VW art car for advertising and, of course, that spicy chicken soup. Since then we’ve grown a lot and use a newer Bug, we’ve been a jungle and a Mediterranean wine cellar, we’ve been Cravings Bistro and now we’re Cravings Restaurant + Lounge.
Throughout the many changes, the constants have been warm, friendly service, delicious comfort food, great value and superb clientele. As of September of 2012 Cravings is under new ownership — Angelo has retired and two of his servers Hugh Kendall and Lena Clayton have taken over with the talented chef Armin Jiwani. Cravings is still true to its roots as a neighbourhood restaurant serving West Coast style comfort food. Come in and try the new twist.

Hugh Kendall and Lena Clayton, two long-time servers at Cravings purchased the restaurant with Chef Armin Jiwani in September 2012. We are building on Angelo’s legacy and evolving the future of Cravings. We are passionate about the food we serve and whenever possible we seek to use locally grown, seasonal and organic ingredients, both for superior flavour and to reduce our footprint on the earth. We are proud to be partnered with the Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise program to ensure that as much of the seafood we serve as possible is caught by sustainable methods.
