I went to cabello six months ago. I had spoken with the managers previous to my appointment to ensure I would be seeing a senior colorist for my hair as I had trouble with my light blonde color in the past. I set my appointment with their recommended stylist. On the day of my appointment I arrived and they told me they switched my to a different stylist. I was okay with this until I found out this was her very first day working there. Not only was she rude, she insulted me to my face, completely destroyed my color and missed many sections of my hair. I never returned to this salon. Although the managers were friendly, I wouldn’t trust this place again.

I followed my hairstylist here from another salon. I love her. People compliment my hair regularly. Everyone at the salon is very polite, and they can always squeeze me in for a cut.

I am writing this review for the Therapeutic Massage I had recently. I was given the 50 minute deep tissue massage as a gift(valued at $ 95), but would pay that again in the heartbeat. Lisa(bio not available on website, but call and ask for her specifically), has the most amazingly strong hands I’ve ever had massage me. Lisa greeted me and let me know that I had been scheduled for a ‘deep’ tissue massage; she wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting myself into. She was rough, and even painful at times, but my knotted muscles started to relax and loosen — it was incredible. Yes, there were times that I wanted it to stop, but I’m glad I didn’t give in, because the day after I felt like a new woman. The deep tissue massage isn’t for the faint of heart, but it is for someone who has massive knots, sore feet, or other issues plaguing them. Don’t be afraid to swear if it REALLY hurts(I think she kinda likes it), or let her know to let up a little, she’s very accommodating. I will definitely return to see Lisa, she does pedicures as well — I can only imagine the calf and foot massages I’d get from her, and because of her would likely try the other spa services.

**UPDATE** SUKI’S takes babies!!! I called in because I needed my cut fixed asap. The receptionist said it’s not crazy busy in the mornings and they would be happy to entertain my baby. They helped with my son so I could have a full salon visit. My cut was completely redone, texturized, blow-dried and flat ironed. It moves now! I found out most salons will take a baby if he is well-behaved. My son is pretty social and playful. My hair is stylish and fixed… THANKGOODNESS:) CABELLO’S REVIEWBELOW: Went in for a cut and colour because I called and they said they would allow me to bring my child BONUS!!! I have no babysitter so it worked out perfect. I was so excited… but it did not turn out too well. I have been growing out my hair for 3 years. I asked for colour to my natural colour and a trim with only a touch up of the layers. My colour and cut both had to be fixed the next day. My colour did not take and my hair looked like a longer version of Dudley Moore… not Demi Moore! Choppy and like a paintbrush. She fixed my cut and colour and now I am home and I have very short layers! WTF!?! So sad as I have been growing my hair for 3 years and now I have short layers which I will have to try to grow out. Also the layers are shorter on the left than the right side. The owner was REALLYREALLY nice so I felt bad. Perhaps they cater to the older short permed ladies. If you do go to this salon I would recommend seeing the owner. PS: I paid $ 200 for a cut and colour that I wish I could take back.

A friend of my boyfriend told me about this salon. Actually she raved about it so I thought I’d give it a go. The salon itself is beautiful: tiled floors, chic décor, individual mirrors and chairs, and there is also a spa towards the back of the salon where I decided to have some waxing done before my cut and colour. The waxing was great. The beautician did an awesome job and really went that extra mile that cheaper salons do not. I would definitely go back to this spa, and I’d like to try out some of their other beauty treatments if the waxing was anything to go by. After my waxing I went to have my hair done. The hairdresser was very lovely and polite but I did get the sense that she was rushed — something I always hate when I’m getting my hair done. When I told her what I wanted I didn’t get the sense that she listened as well as she could have, however she did bring over a picture to show me the type of cut she wanted to do. I thought the cut looked pretty cool, but I was deeply disappointed in what I got. To this day I’m still trying to grow out the severe layers, and I had it cut nearly six months ago! I’m sure that many people have had good experiences at this salon. It is a professional place that was very busy, so no doubt it has repeat business. I however, will not be going back. I haven’t been this displeased in a haircut and colour for many years. And I paid over $ 250 for it.
