I’ve never been to a high end brow bar before so my friend referred me to come here and I’m so happy I did. The receptionist was very sweet and welcoming and the woman who did my brows (Shika?) even more so! I’ve never gotten my brows tinted so I was a little nervous how they would turn out, but Shika was very informative and talked me through each step she was going to do.
the process:
first she asked how dark I wanted my brows and then tinted them for 2 mins. then she goes through the threading process in depth detail (draws the shape with white pencil, explains what parts need to grow, and make sure they’re even by measuring with the thread). after I confirmed everything she went to work! my eyebrows turned out flawless and I’m so happy I got them done. she even gave me a massage and showed me the best way to fill them in :) I ended up leaving with a brow powder and will definitely be coming back for a clean!

Every time I walk into Bombay Brow Bar, I am fully aware that the next 20 minutes are going to leave me smiling. The atmosphere is authentic to modern Bollywood with the lush colours, décor, and traditional chai tea. The brow artists always make me feel like I am in the hands of the best! I have spent years going to beauty salons getting my eyebrows threaded where they always seem to mess up my shape. At BBB, they chalk out the problem areas and mark up the corrections they will make in order to have your brows rockin! And the technique used by these ladies is something I have not experienced elsewhere. They are gentle and tactful which makes the threading process nearly painless. BBB has corrected years of poorly threaded eyebrow and I am addicted. Normally, I would find that I would have to get my brows done once every two weeks but since coming here last year, I go maybe once every 2 – 3 months. The relaxing rose petal head massage and eye brow makeup are the perfect ending to the 20 minute visit. I can’t say enough how much I enjoy my time with these ladies every time I visit!

O.M.B[rows]! Ladies. You have. GOT. to try this. I’ve never been one to get my brows done (unless you consider DIY a form of getting them «done») diligently. I will do the occasional plucking and what I think is shaping, using only a pair of tweezers. So, my marvel at this service may or may not be overstated.
First impression through the door: lovely. Pink and gold are my personal theme colours. The receptionist offers me Chai tea to which I accepted delightedly. I love Chai tea and it’s no secret. They even sell this stuff there as a powder mix.
I’m so lucky to have been assigned to Shika the first time. (You’re my girl, Shika!) Love her. I needed all the consultation she could give me. My brows had uneven arches and I’ve been plucking away at spots where I needed hair to grow… I know. Then, she began threading. In case you haven’t experienced threading on your brows, it stings a little; although it’s nothing a big, strong girl who tweezes and epilates can’t handle. I love that she takes extreme care in minding every hair on my brow. The immaculacy astonishes me as I’ve always treated my brows like «they’re just eyebrows».
The following step of the service is such a treat. When she asks you if you want Rose or Aloe Vera gel, do yourself a favour and say «Rose, please». Have you ever heard of a brow massage? I swear they’ve just made up the most wonderful thing. And, because the brows are where they are, you get a mini head massage by extension. Super, super nice. Finally, you’ll get a nice make-​up session on your brows. I like watching her fill in my brows so I learn something for next time.
*Tip: You are automatically enrolled in their Loyalty Program. 240 points for every service. 2400 points gets you a complimentary Brow Shaping service. Everything is in their system so you don’t have to bother with membership cards or anything.
**Extra tip: Start a Brow Tab, where you prepay for 6 brow shaping sessions and get a major discount! It’s $ 24 per single service but only $ 20 per service if you buy the 6 sessions together for $ 120 on a Brow Tab (6 x $ 20 = $ 120). Yes, I just did math.
Fact: My vanity has just grown a size knowing my eyebrows can look this good!

Love this place! They are always so friendly, each person I have seen has done a great job, and I honestly think the price would be worth it just for the brow massage.

Great service but definitely on the pricey side. Includes a full on «brow consultation» and a short head massage after which is nice, but still, $ 24+tip is a bit pricey to be going as frequently as I need to. I usually come here every third or fourth time I need my brows done, opting for somewhere cheaper in between visits. Can’t fault the service though, they tend to get really busy and require pretty early booking.

I’m not new to eyebrow threading. I’ve been to main street, Surrey, a lady’s home salon next to my parents house etc… So I can attest that each experience is different depending on who you get.
Sure, the price at Bombay is a little steep, but you are getting by far superior service, attention to detail, convenient location and customization of your brows. After my long history of brown threading hopping, I can tell you that it’s not worth the risk of going to the cheaper places — your brows are important! Any mistakes will leave a lasting impression.
At some of the other salons I’ve been to, the lady would be talking on the phone with the phone cradled on her shoulder while threading. No consultation on shape, just a generic threading experience. After years of this, I ended up with increasingly thinner brows and one brow higher than the other.
After a year of visiting Monika at Bombay, she has helped me to even out and grow out my brows. They take the time to make sure that the shape is to you liking, and most important of all… They are not distracted during the process, all attention is on your service.

Love this place because of the wonderful massage done after full face threading. Very busy do you should book as opposed to drop in.

I’ve been to this branch once, back in November. I actually find the service here a bit more than the Yaletown one. Don’t get me wrong, the Yaletown branch has good service as well, but here they seem to give just a little extra! As soon as I came in, I was greeted by a friendly staff member who asked if I’d like some water or Chai tea, and the tech who did my eyebrows was really great in getting my brows the way I wanted. I prefer a straight brow, and not many techs really understand the look I want, but she got it on the first try! And after I was done, the receptionist was thoughtful enough to record the tech’s name on my file since I liked her work. One more thing, I called last night to see if I could book an appointment. I got the answering machine, but I didn’t leave a message. A few minutes later, they called me right back, and I got a super helpful response. Fingers crossed I receive the same service next time I return.

This is my favourite place to get my brows done. The ladies are so nice and they take your brows seriously! They shape them first by outlining them with a white pencil then they go to town. Afterwords, you get an awesome brow and head massage and they offer to fill in your brows with makeup. The best! My brow lady is Monika and she’s the greatest. Won’t go wrong with this salon!

Backstory: I had came here before out of curiosity but never really took my brows seriously until I got into a sales position where how you looked determined how well received you were by your customers and business partners. You can screw up on makeup me have it redone but you cannot go back once that brow has been «taken care of». I made the mistake of going to a cheaper place and cried as I grew back my ultra-​thin brows for a full month. It’s very stressful being serious with a customer when you know your brows are not rockin’ like how Bombay Brow Bar does it. Needless to say, I am a regular and swear by their service.
Actual review: This place is a bright burst of happiness out of the Raincouver gloom. The uplifting beat of Bollywood music and the chai tea warmed me up before my service as the cheerful receptionist kept my happy spirit in check. Despite its pink colour, this place has a relaxing ambiance and comfy pillows to hug. The barber-​style chairs made it very relaxing as my beautician threaded my brows and upper lip with fast precision. All the ladies here are so welcoming and knowledgable I trust all of them equally with my brows. The service is worth the extra effort for my monthly pilgrimage from Burnaby for perfect brows. I cannot thank you enough BBB!

Came here for the first time last week. The service here was excellent. I started off with a tasty chai. The chai is made from a powder mix, but it was tasty nonetheless.
You are given the option of tweezing, waxing or threading. I chose threading and it was quick and painless. I also got great tips for growing out and maintaining my sparse brows.

Love the professional service! Eyebrows looked great.

Oftentimes when I travel for work, I have short windows of free time. I try to take advantage of those windows by squeezing in a quick workout, taking a walk, exploring the city I’m in, etc… and every now and then, I pamper myself if it works out.
When I saw the sign for Bombay Brow Bar literally steps away from my hotel, I immediately put my hand on my face… I felt my unibrow and a little bit of fuzz on my upper lip (I guess I’d been neglecting both for longer than I should have as I don’t think the Frida Kahlo look works so well for me)…
Needless to say, I immediately went in to grab a business card. The little space was rockin’ some Indian music and it was clean. The ladies working there smiled at me too. So, a couple of hours later, after double checking their Unilocal reviews, I called BBB and asked if they could accommodate a walk-​in for the «bombshell brows» and upper-​lip add-​on. I was super pleased to learn that they could!
Minutes later, I was welcomed and offered water or chai tea while I waited, and then I sat back and relaxed as Deep did a phenominal job cleaning up my face. Using a combination of threading and tweezing, I saw a new woman when I looked in the mirror. And the best part? The rose water facial massage I received after the painful part.
Thank you Deep and BBB. If I lived in Vancouver, you’d be my go-​to spot for hair removal. And if I find myself in a similar situation on a future visit, I won’t hesitate to return.

I went for my first threading experience at their Alberni Street location and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My brows look AMAZING!
I made my appointment online and showed up right before the scheduled time. The woman doing my brows was really great and made sure I was happy with the outline she created before she started threading. She showed me her progress in the mirror a few times to make sure I liked how the shape was coming out. After all the threading/​plucking I had a nice little massage before heading back to the office for the rest of my work day (and with only a bit of pink skin that faded super quickly).
I found that threading hurts less than my previous waxing experiences and it was less less harsh on my skin. I would 100% definitely come back here!

This was the first time I’ve ever threaded my eyebrows. I grew my eyebrows as much as I can for 3 months without touching them so I can find a good shape for myself. I did my research and checked a bunch of reviews before I dished out 30 $ for my eyebrows. I worked close to the alberni location so I thought, «why not?» I came by after work and the receptionist was friendly. Why did I give them two stars? My eyebrows are uneven where one is clearly thinner than the other and it was not cleaned properly. I’m kinda upset at the fact it’s different sizes and drawing them in doesn’t really help me much. To be honest I don’t think I’m gonna come back if its gonna cost me this much for a job I could have done myself without the disappointment.

I love the décor at Bombay Brow Bar — it’s a riot of pink, gold and purple, with opulent chairs and uniformed brow babes. Of course, this lavish interior comes with a price. I’ve had my eyebrow hairs ripped out around town and Bombay is one of the priciest. The end result is okay — I’ve had better (and cheaper) brow jobs done, but I’ve also had much worse. 3 stars experience for sure.
Bombay provides «added value» by offering «brow shaping» with some psuedo-​geometric graphing using a white pencil. While this may work for some, I have my eyebrows tattooed. All I want them to do is remove hairs that have dared to stray from the ink zone.
While I appreciate a brow technician checking in occasionally, I don’t want to be asked every two seconds «Are you okay? Are you okay?»
–Yes, I twitch like a mo’fo in the chair — it hurts!
–Yes, sometimes I need to stop & let my contacts return from the dark side my eyeball
–Yes, I’m fine!!! How many times can I say it? Soldier on girl! Let’s get through this!
And yet the questions continued. It started to feel like the Spanish Eyebrow Inquisition.
After the hair-​ripping was done she gave me a nominal brow massage. I declined the brow fill & headed for the door.
Will I repeat? Possibly. But only if I’m hairy, desperate, and heavily sedated.

After my review for their yaletown location, I was contacted by Ravy, the owner, offering me a complementary «bombshell brow» to give them another try. To be honest, I was pretty skeptical at first because I didn’t want my second review to be tainted by preferential treatment. I consulted with fellow Unilocalers and was told this sort of thing happens sometimes. So I told her I would just pop by one of her locations at some point in time and give them another go. And I am happy I did. Harinder was my technician and she was really attentive, professional and informative. You know they say you learn something new everyday, well, she taught me our left side is more sensitive then the right. Funny enough even when I do Yoga, my left side is always tighter and always thought I was stiffer, turns out it’s normal, Yeh! I still think it’s a bit pricey, but it was well worth it this time. I will check out other places before coming back but I will definitely be back. Thanks Harinder.

After my first time having my eyebrows threaded and my first time at the Bombay Brow Bar I’m hooked. The service was wonderful and my eyebrows haven’t ever looked this good. I will be returning on a regular basis!

My eyebrows have never looked better. They do exactly what you like, and they’re very clean as they work through it. As a plus, I only have maximum 1 breakout after they thread my eyebrows — I’ve had a lot of post threading breakout horror stories!

Craving a little indulgence while in the middle of a work trip is a common desire for me, but because I knew I was going to China only a few days later (the land of cheap manicures and massages) I needed a different kind of treatment. This Bombay Brow Bar is brand new and was close to my hotel, so I made an appointment online (which was very easy to do).
I was a little intimidated by the $ 23 price tag for brow threading, but the other services listed weren’t going to do the job, so I booked it.
Being a little early for my appointment, I was apologetic the moment I walked in the door because they had just opened. They welcomed me warmly and explained their process. The «Bombshell Brows» package includes an evaluation of your brows, shaping, massage and makeup; all of which is done excellently.
My technician was very attentive and kind. My brows have never looked this good. At the end of my service, I wanted to buy the brow filler that she used and she recommended products without overselling me.
I am going to come back here all the time.
