We’re a traditional European-​style butcher shop specializing in locally-​sourced meats, custom cuts and housemade specialties like rubs, terrines and more.

We work with award-​winning farms and suppliers in the region like Two Rivers Meats, Polderside Farms, Sloping Hills, Pemberton Meadows and more. We’re proud to offer our customers a full selection of sustainable, local options alongside AAA and other certified selections.

If you’re jsut looking for a snack, we also make the best sandwiches in town from our zesty Chicken Bulgogi to our housemade Porchetta, Roast Beef and more.

We’re open 7 days a week with easy parking and transit access just a block east of Main St.

History

Established in 2011.

Big Lou’s Butcher Shop was opened in January 2011 by the owners of Two Chefs and a Table who wanted a place to expand the range of butchery that they were already doing for their bistro.

This 30s-​style artisanal butcher specializes in locally sourced meats, rubs, and preparation along with delicious deli sandwiches.
