If you are looking for subpar food and terrible music, this is the spot. I’m not sure what’s worse, the bibimbap, fried chicken, or confused waiter.

They serve authentic korean food. The best GARBI in Vancouver is found here. Surprisingly. Unexpectedly.

Every time my friends and I want to eat Korean food and have some fun, we automatically think of BB Pocha! Lots of Koreans go here for fun times during the weekend at night as well. Great atmosphere and love the drinks/food as well. Their fried chicken is probably their signature dish. My favourites are definitely their deep fried chicken with sweet and spicy sauce, deep fried chicken with sweet soy sauce, and assorted seafood and mussels hot pot. Expect some wait though during the weekend at night. Lots of locals will come here for late night snack as well as they close at 2am in downtown Vancouver, which is somewhat rare.

I’m glad my hotel is on the same street as the restaurant so I got a chance to try and I love it. Ordered pork and kimchi hot pot for myself and I asked for spicy. Thanks god they made it spicy just what I want. Husband ordered some fried rice and he loves it also. The dining room is pretty dark, which is I like. The server is nice and sweet but pretty quiet which is I don’t mind if she still got my orders right.

Solid 3.5 starts but their KFC(Korean Fried Chicken) is not as good as Zabu across the street.

Blue Bella Pocha aka BB Pocha is a Korean cuisine bistro reminiscing of Gang-Nam street back in 80’s and 90’s with some trendy features in modern times — at least this is what they claim to be. On Saturday night my friends and I wandered around Robson to find somewhere to eat Korean chicken, and we ended up here. They offer a wide range of Korean drinking snacks that go well with beer and soju. After reading a lot of bad reviews about this place, I was wondering why… because my experience was pretty satisfying as the service and food were both good! Complimentary side-dish(or drinking snacks) came as soon as we ordered. Koreans all know what this metal tray is. The food was served on sectioned metal tray that is widely-used at Korean public schools. I’ve never expected to eat something off of the metal tray again in my life. It was pretty interesting! Back to food, the complimentary side dishes had some spicy rice cake(tteok-bbok-ggi), edamame, pan-fried fish, fries and fish cake soup(o-den-tang). Everything was a bit cold and wished they warmed it before serving. A Fresh Mussels Soup($ 14.95) had a decent amount of mussels, but tasted just average. I liked BB Pocha’s Yang-Nyum Chicken($ 19.95). I came on a bed of cabbage salad and topped with some peanuts. The skin still had a good crisp on the outside although the chicken was already mixed with the sauce. I liked their special sweet spicy sauce as well. PROS + Service was pretty good. Prompt and attentive + Open until late CONS — Washroom was a bit messy — Seats are not comfortable to sit there long enough — Tables were not clean although they wiped before we seated RATING Food 3.5÷5.0 Ambience 2.5÷5.0 Service 3.5÷5.0 Price $$ Address: 1500 Robson Street, Vancouver Phone number: 604−428−2782 Hours of Operation: Sunday to Thursday 5pm-2am Friday to Saturday 5pm-3am BB Pocha Official Website & Menu

Obviously the theme is «pochang», loosely translated as Korean street food. It’s not anywhere I’d bring the family to but it’s a great pitstop for some drinks and«anju»(korean tapas) with friends. I ordered the combination and therein lied the problem. Our two person table was way too small to host the school tray themed entrees, amongst the plate of spicy gopchang(intestines) and O-deng(fish cake) soup. Other than that, the food was better than Seattle but short of L.A.‘s Koreatown. They keep it real with the side of Inchulmi, the service was decent, and you are surrounded by the younger part of 20-something year olds who will either make you feel a) still young enough to bask in the mutual K-pop love or b) incredibly old and senile, even slightly pervy. For you Seattleites, it’s basically the«Tig’s» of Vancouver.

We ordered fried chicken. And it was terrible !! As soon as we took a bite, it smells funky chicken and tastes like granny-old !!! This restaurant using as lowest –cheapest quality as possible ! Quite disappointing! They should fire the person whoever is in charge of food !! So shame !!

Really liked this place. They have big portions and the taste is great. The name is BB Pocha. A new Korean food place. We ordered a chicken dish and soju. They currently have an opening special for $ 10.99 where if you order one dish and soju you get 5 side dishes and an ice cream for free(the ice cream is only for girls haha). The side dishes were edamame beans, a small fish, macaroni with corn, a soup with gold kaiware shoots, and tteokbokki. The chicken dish we ordered was plentiful and high quality. I forgot the description but it was number 17 or 18. It had green onions and red shredding. The chicken pieces had small bones and a lot of meat. For 2 people it was a lot. They give you this chicken dish with sides of pickles and raddish. As well, they give you a metal dish to put your bones in! The soju was smooth and at a good price. Ice cream was yummy. The atmosphere is great. Good vibe with not too much noise. The girls that worked that day were great. They took turns coming around and making sure that everyone was good.
