We came here for a coffee and desserts after dinner around 8pm. It was about the right time to come here as it was not too busy. We could get a table and seats. Excellent! Therefore, we didn’t have to rush to drink and eat and give the table to others. Each of us ordered a cup of London fog. The cup was quite big. It also came with a piece of chocolate. Very neat! We also ordered a lemon tart and a piece of cheese cake. The price was about $ 4 each. It was priced reasonably. The cheesecake tasted about right. It was not too rich or too sweet. The lemon tart was sweet on top and sour at the bottom. We eventually removed the sweet egg white on top. These desserts went well with the cup of London fog. The only downside of the restaurant was the location. It was right on Main Street that it was very busy and noisy. When we were chatting, the noise from cars especially the fire trucks covered our conversations. However, you could say the location was good, because if you are running a business, you want more traffic and make more money.

It was a day off work when me and my husband went on a morning date. He was familiar with this place and I just joined him. We had the lunch special and a few pastries, and it was so good! Every bite. If you are there you have to try the almond croissant! The nice girl behind the counter gave us some tastings of a blueberry macaroon that was amazing. To make the long story short, go there.

Amazingly beautiful pastries and desserts. The cakes, pies, pastries and other desserts are almost too cute and beautiful to eat. Luckily, their relatively high cost prevented me from binging on every single one available. Good use of colors, unique patterns and textures make their pastries really stand out. So, if aesthetics are as important to you as tastes, give this place a try.

No good. Too sweet and fatty with hardly any flavor.

I came here because a friend of mine used to work here and I thought I may as well give it a try on my way home. When I walked in there were two guitarists playing quietly by the door which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the caramel puff(cream puff with fluffy caramel whipped cream) and felt completely happy. I could’ve stayed longer but I knew I had to beat the rush hour traffic home and I honestly could’ve fallen asleep in there the ambience was so relaxing. What a hidden gem! I never paid much attention to it from the street, but these are real pastries, well done and not too sweet. I’d come back a million times over.

The people who work here really deserve credit for selling their products well: I stopped by for a quick coffee to go and ended up taking a bag full of pastries home. And I don’t even have so much of a sweet tooth. But they have this great deal where you get 3 dry pastries for 2.95, and when the barista mentioned that the croissants all came fresh out of the oven, I just couldn’t resist. I have had better French pastries elsewhere, but the overall experience was very pleasant and I left the store with a smile on my face. The coffee was excellent.

Underwhelming pastry. We were late in the day but frankly the 6 options we took home were for the most part so so. My friend used the team?“mass produced” and I have to agree.

So i stop by this store last week and I love french pastries and baguettes so I thought why not to try it? I think I went there in a bad moment, around 3 – 4 p.m. but i need a place to have a coffee a pastry. So I decide to play it safe and i decide to order a palmier, and an americano. I paid and then the girl realized that the coffee machine was shut down for maintenance. She was really kind and ask the guy fixing the machine to put it together again, so she could make my coffee. Result in to a weak, watery, not very good. about my palmier it was really fleaky, but bland, nothing special. Service: was very really good, they gave me a little chocolate with my coffee, that was the best part. They tried to give a good service which they did but the quality was good. Food: Not impressed, can be improved Ambience: not very special can be improved

My lovely coworker brought me a chocolate almond croissant from this bakery this morning: O! If you want to know what I thought of it, please read below. So wow, first off I did not know that such a wonderful bakery existed. Secondly, how do they make such wonderful chocolate almond croissants? They are square shape, so not coned shaped. The ratio of chocolate is thorough and consistent. On top of the chocolate layer is a yellow layer of liqueur(?) I may be wrong but it was devine to balance out the chocolate. It was sweet but not too sweet. The flakiness was unforgettable! It honestly tasted like Christmas. These chocolate almond croissants sell out really fast so it is best to nab one(or three) early on in the day before other people get their paws on them. Yum :D Maybe one of the best croissants I have ever had.

The pastries here are to die for. The mini pistachio treat that I had made me want to go back and get the full size! The person serving us was friendly, patient and French! How cool, for a French bakery. Definitely a place to return to!

Great little place on main street. I come here for the pastries and stay for the really great and unusual service. The coffee is good and they have some good deals for coffee and pastry and other combos. The Manger is an actual french woman which is great. She very nice and friendly and guaranteed to make you smile. The also have an upper level for bigger parties. A great space to hold a private event(10 to 20 people) or a meetup. I live close by so I will surely come back many times.

I kinda forgot that this a baguette place because I was hypnotised by their desserts and pastries! I wanted to try everything but I was by myself so I ordered their mini treats such as Napoleon, pistachio and chocolate cake… YUMMY! With an order of London Fog which came with a lil piece of chocolate, nice touch.

Baguette is very dense not light and fluffy inside, crust is not crispy but soft and not chewy. Flan and desserts are nice, open late not busy when I went. Good service, when the condo nearby is built they should get a lot of business.

I had a tasty latte and a really good apple turnover here. But the ambiance isn’t really there, and the customer service was ok. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, but if I’m in the area I’d gladly stop back in for a pastry and latte again.

I ordered one of their sandwiches to eat inside and it was brought to our table grilled too much and was squashed like a pancake. It would have been a tasty sandwich had they not squashed it and left it too long in the sandwich grill. They need to go easy and not treat their sandwiches like a Guantanamo Bay prisoner. They’re also fairly stingy on what they put inside their sandwiches(only 2 slices of turkey on each half, a little brie, and 2 leaves of spinach). Last time here the girl literally threw the sandwich in a bag, when she didn’t even ask if it’s to stay or go. Coffee was good however. They have a good selection of pastry and sweets though. But I don’t think I’ll return.

Good 3.5 stars, kinda strange to have a French pastry in this neck of the hood, like French Table up in Riley Park area but I digress. A bit more spacious than their Broadway location, possibly with higher ceilings. Tried the egg flan, nothing special other than not as sweet as others. Good marketing job on their takeout containers. The rest of their pastries, some have miniature versions like their lemon tarts. Cute sofa seating in the back, as per pic. Good alternative place for a casual get together date-wise, not a group.

This place is brand spanking new and just opened a few months ago. Good addition to the mid Main street strip. Lots of cute pastries. Nothing that is diet compatible with me, however, picked up 12 pieces for a party. Customer service was awesome and friendly.

Their pastries are delicious and very well made. Their sandwiches are quite good. I had the turkey with egg, and it was quite good. The prices are reasonable, and the staff are pleasant. Highly recommended.

I haven’t tried their lunch offerings so I can’t give five stars, but thanks to the mini pastries offer(3 dry for 2.95 $ or 3 cold for 4.95 $) I got the chance to try Palmier with raisins, croissant, and chocolate croissant in the dry pastries section, and Mille feuille, royal chocolate mousse with walnuts, and triple chocolate mousse from the cold pastry section. The dry pastries, made on site, are a nice blend of flaky and moist. The cold pastries are flavourful and could compete easily with Max’s @ 16th. Coffee: Salt Spring. Enough said. There are sourdough breads and focaccia, baguette sandwiches and more. Happy eating!
