Awful experience! Went here with a friend as one of her coworkers had recommended the place. The salon itself is dirty, dated, and basic. We both got mani pedi’s and the young woman with the long hair working on my nails was EXTREMELY rude. Everything was rushed (even though we had booked appointments) and when I asked if it was possible to have the excess nail polish removed from my feet (it was everywhere), the woman said «um yea I guess» and proceeded to dab my toes with such a small amount of acetone that did absolutely nothing to help remove the color. Upon closer inspection it was evident that my feet were not even filed properly. Now on to the nails. The tools they use are pulled out of a drawer so be sure to ask them if they have been sterilized. She was extremely rough with my nails, scraping my cuticles and the two coats of polish she put on my nails was laughable, I could have done them better myself. She quickly disappeared to go do a rush pedicure on some man who had been waiting over 20 minutes for service. I was told that someone would come around to put a top coat on my nails, which I had to remind them about. Awful and rude service. From my observations, not very clean either.

I see that many of you did have a bad experience but mine was great! Good place for mani pedi and for eyebrows

This is my go to salon for nails, brows and wax. The ladies are great and so polite to customers and each other. It is always clean and a friendly atmosphere. They really work well together. They greet you with a smile as you walk in and even if it is packed they find a way to fit you in.
They offer full services for great prices. They do amazing brow threading for only $ 8! It’s not a fancy spa but you’re getting the same quality service for less.
Great service all the time!

Worst pedicure I’ve ever had. Im from montreal and was visiting toronto and this was the only place open on Christmas eve. It was clumpy, my nails weren’t cut properly. PLUS before applying the second coat of nail Polish she didn’t even let the first coat or the base coat dry… didn’t even scrub my feet property the massage was painful. I can’t believe how horrible this place is it should be closed down. I’ve done better mani and pedis myself. So disappointed! Waste of my money. I would never recommend anyone to go there and I hope they see this.

As friendly and polite as the staff are. I would never come back to this place to do my nails.
I came in as a first time customer.
— I asked them if they did BIO-​SCULPTER GEL on the phone, they said yes. However, it was SEAWEED gel instead, which is not as strong as BIO nor as healthy for your nails.
— Price on their website for gel mani says $ 35 — they charged me $ 60.
— I asked for a manicure first and she cut my cuticles without soaking them first or anything. Didn’t even push back the skin first. This caused them to tear and bleed all over.
— The tips were glued from the middle of my nails that it created a DOUBLE nail! As in 1 mm of space between them, lol (i’m not kidding)
— She put so much glue that it glued the side of my nails to my skin.
— For some reason the 1^st girl decided to pass me over to another girl mid gel application and made me move tables. No explanation.
— 2^nd girl — I asked for a french finish — she put the white part on HALF of my nail — not just the tip. So I had half white nails and half.not. Clearly she’s never done a french finish in her life.
— Never filed the nail after each application, so they were lumpy. My finger tips looked like light bulbs.
— Never cleaned the inside of my nail so it was full of gunk.
— On top of all that, some of my nails started peeling off in just 2 – 3 days afterwards. Worst $ 70 I ever spent.
In addition, the girls sat around talking on their phones. One of them put her feet up on a stool next to me with no shoes or socks and just texted away. The staff are easily distracted, unprofessional and clearly need a lot more training on how to do nails — or at least GEL nails.
This was one of the WORST gel/​mani I have ever had.

I’ve gotten my eye brows threaded, upper lip waxed, and nails done on numerous occasions, however it only takes one inexperienced threader to make so you’d never return.
Back when I went — Nails are neatly done and they have a variety of colours and types to choose from. Waxing is powdered first, temperature is checked, wax paper is used as needed (they don’t skimp like other places) and a nice lotion is put on afterwards to relieve the skin. Lastly, the threading experience has been pretty standard. It’s quick, and you are out of there with nicely shaped brows. The cost is pretty much the same as other places downtown so you know you’re not getting ripped off in any way. However…
Why I don’t go anymore — Having your brows threaded can be a painful experience but none more so than when the threader rips a piece of your skin straight off. It was enough to leave a throbbing red mark at the end of the session, which then developed into a scab, and is now a sensitive spot for me when going for any future threading sessions.
This experience may have been outlier for the numerous regulars that attend to this location, however it is one that has lost them one customer, and I hope none will have this experience in the future.

Lovely friendly staff that appear happy where they work! The girl who did my manicure enquires a few times throughout if I liked this colour, shape etc which doesn’t usually happen. She did a great job on my French manicure too! I will definitely be going back here, so refreshing to have customer service that are friendly and happy in a nail salon!

It was my first time at Yeti and it would probably be my last.
I found them a little pushy for service upgrades like Shellac. The environment leaves much to desire and the workmanship and technique is below par. A straight forward polish application (nothing extra) is goopy and chipped the day of.
The prices were not cheap enough to justify the poor workmanship. The ladies were pleasant enough but their skills are just not there. Their service also skimped on little things that other salon with the same pricepoint would offer.
I would not visit again.

I went to this place based on Unilocal 5 star reviews some people have given. I got threading n manicure done. Not happy at all. The lady who did the threading was answering all the calls n customers checking in. It was annoying to lie on the chair while they keep doing other work on the side, maybe they should hire a receptionist. My manicure has started to chip off from the very next day. I hav got mani done in other places closeby n they were much better with the price being cheaper than here. N the massage, pressing only one muscle over n over is not a massage.
I strongly don’t recommend this place. This was my first visit, n am not interested in giving another try. My one star is only for all the smiling the staff did, other than that their work is not efficient at all.

Have been going to this nail salon for years — all The ladies are super friendly and nice to you. They take their time and do a great job to your specifications. I always see Prativa and she is a total perfectionist — which means my shellac mani lasts for weeks and looks perfect!

I went to Yeti’s yesterday with a friend. It was my first time getting any type of manicure, and the overall rating was pretty good so we called up and the lady said we could come in anytime. The ladies were pleasant enough, but it seemed they were easily distracted and there weren’t enough of them working so the technician kept leaving to help someone else. She also seemed to have issues cleaning up my cuticles and filing, and kept refilling the entire time.
Now one day later, one of my nails is already peeling off and I asked my medical esthetician friend to check it out, and she said that it’s actually a really bad job. There’s polish on my cuticles, the edges are messy and unfinished and it wasn’t bonded properly.
So despite the lower cost ($ 30 for shellac), save your money and go somewhere else.

I was unsure about this place because of very mixed reviews but my feet really needed it and I live just down the street, so I decided to just go for it.
I didn’t have an appointment and just showed up on a Saturday around 2pm. The place was very busy. Right after coming in, I was asked what I wanted. In about 20 minutes or so, it was my turn.
One thing I didn’t like is that they use what seemed like very harsh chemicals to clean their pedi tubs. While I appreciate clean and hygienic places, the fumes gave me a nauseating headache in about 10 seconds. Also, they poured the chemicals in the tub and told me to take a seat — I was lucky I paid attention to what was in (looks like clear gel) otherwise I could have just followed their orders and soaked my feet in who knows what.
Anyway, to make the long story short, I was happy with both my mani and pedi (done by 2 different people). I will go back and would recommend this place to a friend.

I really wanted to like this place (coworkers told me they go here all the time) but it was seriously disappointing. I made an appt. for a mani-​pedi and my pedi was okay, she never asked me if I wanted the bottom of my feet cleaned with the razor (every other place I’ve ever been does it without even asking) and she cut the nails in different shapes and sizes. Regardless, the pedi ended up being the least of my worries.
Another woman (Almost 100% sure she was the manager/​owner) did my shellac nails and this is where it got bad. The shape of my nails were ALL different (fully slanted). She never cleaned under my nails. She only cleaned around my cuticles at the bottom and not the sides. The paint job was messy.
I have paid $ 55 for a mani and pedi before and left feeling satisfied but god this was like an incomplete service. My friends and coworker (that goes to this location) looked at my nails in awe and all agreed that they did not look good at all… So I went back the next morning to let them know I was unhappy and she told me to come back for a fix when I got back from my business trip. This was nice and I was content with their response.
But when I came back for my fix appointment, she was being straight out impolite and unresponsive. My two thumb nails were so different looking and when she did the «fix» I politely asked if she could buff it down to match my other nail because it still looked bad. She suddenly got rough with my nails and rude and stopped talking to me altogether. When she finished (she did not clean the bottom of my nails, clean the sides of my cuticles, or finish with cream) she simply said ok and walked away. I left feeling disrespected and still unhappy with my service.
It’s too bad because it’s a nice, clean location and the other girls seemed nice. Not going back.

This isn’t a place I’d recommend or go to ever again. I picked it for the convenience and the reviews weren’t too bad. I get manicures and pedicures done regularly and Yeti’s does not know what it’s doing.
I went with a girl friend for her birthday. We got a pedicure first. Her girl was so rough on her feet and even cut her. My lady, I think she was the owner, was so rushed she forgot to put top coat on (and didn’t realize this until later). I was really looking forward to getting my feet softened… My feet weren’t really buffed and are still rough. After the rushed pedicure, I got hurried over to get my Shallac nails. It was another girl doing it. She had so much attitude, as did my friend’s girl. They didn’t soak our nails to soften the cuticles to remove… They did it dry! I’m not even sure how clean the tools are! You can tell how inexperienced these ladies are. They’re so rough. They didn’t even have room for me to dry my toes. My friend went to the fan and it barely worked. She said the other customers weren’t impressed either.
This place lacks in service and skills! I wouldn’t go here ever again and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. They charge what other places who have experienced ladies charge. They don’t even seem like they care or want to be better. This place is a no-​go. That bad!

I’ve had an eyebrow thread here twice and so far so good! I am really picky with brow bars and although this isn’t the best one I’ve been to, they do a decent job for $ 8 so I can’t complain. I might try their laser service next time.

Stopped in here on a suggestion from a friend in town. There seemed to be a clear delineation between the regular customers and visitors like me. As such I got somewhat inattentive service.
At this point you might protest, Nail Salon service is always somewhat inattentive with all the conversations and side conversations and side-​side conversations happening and whatnot. Well, this was also the most silent nail salon I have ever been into. Not much talking, no TV, no music… it was a bit eery.
End of the day though, they did a good job on my nails. The foot and hand massage were acceptable and I don’t have any major complaints for taking a flyer on a suggestion while traveling.

I just had the best visit to a nail salon ever. The attention and caring were second to none. I’m accustomed to rushed pedicures that leave me flat, but this was extraordinary. The extra effort in the massage of my neck, shoulders and head while having my nails done was over the top.

I love this place for 3 reasons:
1) price is very affordable– i can get a shellac manicure for $ 30
2) service– they are sooo friendly and kind. They will also make sure you can get an appointment when you show up
3) amazing job and quality! My nails last at least 2 weeks

I wanted to like this nail salon for a couple of reasons:
1) The location. It’s an easy stop off on my bike ride home from work.
3) The price.$ 35 cash for a basic mani/​pedi.
I was pretty disappointed.
I’m very sensitive when it comes to almost any sort of treatment and ever since getting a really bad pedicure and having my cuticles nicked and bleeding for awhile, I’m officially on guard when anyone gets those clippers out. It seems that many places now are cheap, but the manicure is done by someone who doesn’t have a whole lot of aesthetic experience. I need to feel that whomever is working on me is confident and knows their stuff. They don’t have to pamper me, but they do have to know what they’re doing. The woman who did my pedicure seemed nervous and shaky. This made me nervous and shaky and did not make for a relaxing pedicure.
To make matters worse, a different woman began doing my manicure while I was still getting my pedicure. She seemed a little more knowledgeable, but it was very uncomfortable. She kept asking me to stretch my other hand across my body and hold it in the air so she could work on them. This kind of hurt, especially nice I have a plate and some screws in that wrist and it hurts on the best of days.
They did an ok job. The pedicure did not include cleaning under the nails or a really nice buffing. The colours are streaky and look really thick. They were nice enough, but I wouldn’t go back there. I was so uncomfortable I must have looked like I was sitting in the electric chair.

I’d been meaning to try Yeti because I just moved to the area and the Unilocal reviews are generally positive. I was especially attracted by the reviews saying they give good foot massages here during their pedicures.
I called half an hour in advance to ask if they’d have the capacity to take me on for a pedicure and they assured me on the phone that they did. They didn’t suggest that I make an appointment or anything so I just went.
I ended up waiting a good 20+ minutes for my turn. But I didn’t book an appointment and it was Saturday morning, one of the busiest times at nail salons, so I let it slide.
My esthetician was very unprofessional. She kept complaining about my heels the whole time, about how dry and damaged they were, and she kept saying it was because any other places I went to before were doing such an awful job. She even went as far as inviting everyone who passed by her to scrutinize and judge my feet! Really? REALLY?! Exactly how is that helpful???
My pedicure was very rushed. The cuticle work and exfoliating were half-​hearted at best, and it hurt when she pushed back/​nipped my cuticles, although thank goodness I didn’t bleed.
What’s more, I was in and out of that chair in about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, two girls who were obviously regulars, who sat down a good 10 minutes before me, had longer service than I did. We were all getting regular (i.e. non-​Shellac, non-​spa) pedicures — exactly how could my pedicure have been so much quicker, especially if my feet needed as much work as my esthetician was saying?
I came away from my pedicure with an okay polish job — the colour was great but they didn’t clean one smudge on my toe off — and the bottoms of my feet look like I never got a pedicure. My feet literally look the same as before I left for my pedicure this morning.
I’m wavering over whether to come back one more time at a less busy time to give them them another chance but I’m leaning on not doing so.
ETA: The owner contacted me via Unilocal very graciously (albeit with a really abject apology that made me feel uneasy), invited me to return, and offered to serve me personally. I thanked her and let her know I’d make an appointment at a later date. But I was busy, so I didn’t do it right away. The owner then continued to send me weekly messages with even more abject apologies and exhorted my return. I felt really uncomfortable, so I blocked her and have decided not to go back.
