Not friendly on the phone when booking. I was charged for the 45 min refill price when she only took 30 min. She Moved at a very slow pace and hardly got any lashes on me. Other employees were fooling around in the background the whole time. I work on yorkville ave and will not be referring anyone to Winks.

Bronwyn did an incredible job with my lashes! I’ve had them done so many times before by many different places, but this may be my favourite set yet. I also got $ 25 off just for joining their email list, so i got Yorkville results for a downtown price :)

Horrible service both times I went. First time I paid for a 45 minute eyelash fill and the tech only did it for a half hour and was rough with my eyes causing them to sting. Second time was for a 30 minute fill and the tech only did 15 minutes. (I had a timer on my phone.) the tech lied to me about doing it for 30 minutes. Eyelashes were put on un even, leaving a lot of space in my inner lashes and gaps on my outer lashes. I would highly recommend you spend your money elsewhere. Definitely not worth it.

I highly recommend the services. I had eyebrow shape & tint and eyelush tint and it was a great experience: nice and quick job, they started in time. Friendly customer service :-)

I highly recommend the services of «BRONWYN «& team without reservation. In my first meeting, I could tell she was already thinking of ways to enhance my eye brows .This was a challenge, both because I am very detailed and because I have scarce eye brows. Nevertheless, when it was all done I was extremely pleased. I have since been back many times and always great service and work. I love my eye brows!

This is an update to my original review posted on July 6^th. Since the negative experience I had with my lashes, I was contacted by the owner of Winks and I have to say the customer service I received at Winks was top notch, and I look forward to give them another chance in the future. Urla, the owner, as well as other girls assisting me were very professional in handling the situation. As it turns out, the person who applied my lashes did not do a good job, and I was assured that the person would go through additional training to bring her skills to the appropriate level. I was told that Winks has been in business for 7 years and has many regular clients that are very happy with their results. Urla took immediate action to rectify my situation by offering to take advantage of their warranty policy. She also assigned a skilled specialist to remove what was left of my lash extensions and has invited me to get another set done on the house. Urla has assured me the next time I would be wowed with my lashes!

I had the worst customer service there. About a year ago I came here, the receptionist was complaining to a technician. So unprofessional. My lashes looked good but at the end they charged me for a full set instead of a refill which is what I originally came for.

I tried eyebrow extensions today for the first time and I couldn’t be happier w/​the results. My brows weren’t horrible to start I more just need the fronts filled and some holes. These look amazing and so real! I’d never know they were extensions and I’m a makeup artist! I’m so excited at the prospect of not having to fill in my brows every day… I think I’m definitely a brow extension convert!

I decided to get eyelash extensions for my destination wedding last minute and was desperate to find a salon that was able to take me in. Winks wasn’t my first choice but one of the few salons that could have accommodated me. I arrived at the location unable to find the salon as it was under reno, but the gal who found me in the hallway took me to what seemed like a shady back ally closet in another salon to get the eyelashes put on. While lying there to get the job done, other women would come in to wash their hands, heat up things in the microwave, banging around the sink. For a «Yorkville» location, this «spa» seemed pretty ghetto with no privacy and piece while getting the eyelash completed.
The lady that put the eyelashes on wasn’t social, and merely gave one word answers while deciding which type of eyelash to put on. She actually didn’t really gave me options and only brought the Mink most expensive option available, and almost made me feel inadequate to ask because she’s like «no one gets the synthetic ones». NO explanation or professionalism.
At the end of the session, she had glued my top with the bottom eyelashes together along with some skin and was yanking my eyes open. I Unilocaled and told her that it hurt and that it was sticking together, and she’s denied what had happened even though it was evident, and my eyes were watering with pain.
After I the eyelashes were complete, there was no double checking of quality or satisfaction, the gal merely brought me to their «ren’d» space to the owner, who was quick to get paid and get their tip. For $ 230 bucks it was definitely overpriced, and the service and ambiance was below reasonable — not even average. I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY AWAY AND FIND ANOTHER SALON!

I decided to give this place a try after seeing their high reviews. All in all, I was disappointed with the customer service and the quality of the eyelashes (especially for the high price). When I walked into the room, the girl (blonde white girl) was on her phone and didn’t put it down or get up to introduce herself. I said hello first. She looked up from her phone and nonchalantly said «hi» and then put her phone down. I’ve had eyelashes on 6 other occasions. This place was the most expensive, gave the least amount of eyelashes, and didn’t last long even with proper care. The girl in the front (black girl), stayed on her personal cell on an obviously personal call even when help was needed at the front desk, aka your job. Lastly, the blonde girl overcharged me at first and wouldn’t have fixed it had I not said anything. I so so regret wasting my hard-​earned money on this business. I rarely write negative reviews, but man, I won’t be coming here again. I really wish I had a better experience :/

I went to Winks last week and I have to say the were the best eyelash extensions I’ve ever had! I got the real mink «fabulous» set and they looked very natural yet full and luscious. The technician asked what kind of look I wanted, and applied the lashes accordingly. I said I wanted to look «blessed with amazing lashes» but not over the top. I don’t want it t be all about the lashes (which is why I don’t like mascara) I went shopping in Yorkville after and I got THREE compliments on my «pretty eyes». Mission accomplished.
The entrance area is small, but I think that’s because they wanted to keep the application area nice and open… good choice! I was only in the reception area for about 2min. anyway. I got a nice welcome and I felt very well taken care of from start to finish. Better still, they made me feel valued and important.
I won’t go anywhere else other than Winks from this moment forward!

I experienced the worst customer service from two different people at the Boutique. They were very rude and dismissive and didn’t pick up their phone a lot of the time during business hours. Will not go back.

I really liked this place! I think that the girls were very professional, did an excellent job with my eyelashes and the location was clean and easily accessible via the TTC. I was brought upstairs to a small room with a bed, where I basically took a nap for 45 minutes while my eyelashes were applied. The results were fabulous! Mine lasted two weeks, which was a bit less than what I was expecting but not the end of the world.
A few cons about Winks: Firstly, the price! this is not a cheap beauty treatment! Particularly since they don’t seem to last that long. Secondly, I had a lot of trouble booking the appointment. I phoned many times and they never answered. I also left messages that weren’t returned. Which is a bit frustrating!
A few notes about getting eyelash extensions: You can’t get wet for 24 hours after you’ve had yours applied, which is useful to know in advance. Also, mine fell out unevenly, so I looked a little crazy for a few days.
Overall, a nice indulgence.

Everyone knows that length and girth are desired by all women… for their eyelashes, and frankly I am no different. Oh how I long for full, long luscious lashes that make people stop in their tracks and say «DAMN THAT CHICK HAS SOME AWESOME EYES!»
Well it seems my prays to baby Jesus have been answered in the form of a $ 45 Groupon offer for $ 200 worth of lashed. My first impression of this place was «Why don’t they have a coat rack damn it?» I am a self professed nomad and carting around more stuff than a Parkdale hoarder and it seemed as though they didn’t have any place for my coat, umbrella and bags.
I met Colleen my «Lash Technician» and she was a pro. Other technicians were asking her for advise and she would give them very detailed instructions. The conversation was light and varied from what is your favourite mascara to what is a good way to dump a boy. That being said the procedure took just under an hour and didn’t hurt one bit. Colleen said I have lots of lashes and that she would add a few extra at no extra charge to make sure it was even.
In the end I got 75 lashed per eye and loved them. They lasted about two full weeks with a few lashes lasting three weeks. The only thing stopping me from giving them 5 stars is the price. My lashed would have cost well over $ 200 which I guess is about $ 15 a day. As a student I can’t get used to this level of vanity but for a special occasion it is a good idea.
As previously mentioned their «Bön Voyage Package» might be a better bang for your buck:

Tip… don’t put mascara on before your appointment. This seems like common sense to me but apparently my technician said there are many who do it anyways.

Fun and well worth the money for a once in a while treat. I came here because of one of their team deals and for the occasion of my wedding. I’m pretty impressed by their online booking system. When I got the team deal, I immediately went online a few months before my appointment to book it as I’ve had experiences with other team deal type things where it was impossible to find a good appointment time. To my surprise, not only did they do online bookings, they actually took the deal bookings online and had convenient, specific times for customers with the deals as well. As soon as I logged in and booked, I received confirmation via email that I was all set to go. A few days before my actual appointment, I received another email asking me to electronically confirm my appointment, thereby both providing a reminder for my booking and reassuring me that they hadn’t forgotten me.
I recently checked online though and it seems that they no longer take team deals online.
The service was prompt and efficient, the whole experience of having lashes put on took about 40 minutes, and there were no accidental gluing of my eyelids together. Th result was beautiful and added much needed fullness and length to my lashes.
The facilities were clean and comforting. Winks is housed inside a converted house set a little back from the street on the busy Danforth. Overall, it really was a quite nice experience.

After word of mouth from my friend, I wanted to get eyelash extensions. As a result, a mutual friend, her and I went. The staff are kind and knowledgeable!
Be sure you follow the instructions on how to take care of your lashes, or else. a great amount of them will fall out, resorting to a touch up session.
The procedure takes about 30−45mins, if it’s just a touch up it’s even shorter! The only reason why I stop doing it was because, when you take a shower and rub your eyes, they sting! & I didn’t want to fork over $ 60 every 2 weeks.
Appointment wise, I would not randomly show up here because they have appointments. But I went in once to go get my eyelashes touch up without a appointment, because I live so far. they took that into consideration, and after a hour wait, they were able to fix my lashes.
In general, your first eyelash appointment will be around $ 90 -$ 130 depending on what set you get, but getting your lashes touch up is cheaper, because you are only getting a few fixed. Every time I got my lashes fix up or done, they look amazing! it only sucks when it’s noticeable that your lashes are mostly falling out, so booking appointments in advance is better!

Great place, these ladies know what it’s about. My lashes look freaking amazing! They where fast and so proffessional and helpful.
Going in for a consolation and getting the proper lashes to suit you is the way to go! Don’t cheat yourself on this ladies. it’s sooooo worth it.

I went in for a bit of an impromptu consult today. Long story short I recently had some extensions put on my lashes by a friend in a lash extension course, and after a few hours (maybe 10 minutes) of staring in the mirror I wondered at making said extensions a little less noticeable.
I called their number and got a lovely message listing their hours as well as their new address. I quickly popped by before I proceeded to butcher the lashes myself, and thank goodness I did, their answer was a resounding «NO!». They gave me very candid answers to all of my inane questions and reasonably convinced me that I looked amazing. They also fielded a thousand questions regarding all of their other services and were totally down to earth and dare I say lovely.
I will assuredly be back here when these extensions grow out, hopefully taking advantage of their $ 150 mani pedi and full lash extensions deal. Incidentally they also told me about a great noodle place down the street that I am dying to try.
Bottom line… honest and skilled in their trade these fabulous entrepreneurs are setting the stage for the newest «it“spa selection.
