Structured Daycare:

We are the largest Dog Cen­tre in Toronto. Our Day­care oper­ates on a rota­tion plat­form, keep­ing dogs stim­u­lated and happy all day long. Our Day­care pro­gram incor­po­rates con­trolled play, exer­cise, out­door romps, men­tal stim­u­la­tion, social­iza­tion and rest, all of which are vital to the well being of your pet. We are a state-​of-​the-​art facil­ity equipped with ath­letic rub­ber­ized floor­ing (which reduces stress to joints and hips), year-​round cli­mate con­trolled rooms, fil­tered water, three walks a day and web-​cam ser­vice in our play­rooms (allow­ing you to visit your dog as often as you want through the Internet).

Behavior Rehabilitation:

Our motto is ‘Pre­ven­tion is Bet­ter Than Cure’; If your dog has a ten­dency toward bad behavior, don’t despair. With a bit of firm but fair reha­bil­i­ta­tion train­ing we can help you cor­rect his unwanted behaviors. Bet­ter yet, we can teach you how to curb unwanted bad behaviors before they become bad habits.

The Original Dog House also offers, Over night Boarding, Obedience Training, and Grooming.

Meet the Business Owner

David Shama S.

Business Owner

David is the found­ing father and vision­ary behind The Orig­i­nal Dog House, this is where he has earned the nick­name The Dog Father. Three years into his early retire­ment after a suc­cess­ful career in busi­ness, he decided to live out his long time dream of work­ing with dogs, which led to the cre­ation of an ‘Ulti­mate Cen­tre for Dogs’.

Over the years his inher­ent tal­ent to work with and reha­bil­i­tate dif­fi­cult and/​or dan­ger­ous dogs pre­ceded him and led to hav­ing numer­ous friends, neigh­bors etc., etc. asked him for help with regard to their dog prob­lems. The Orig­i­nal Dog House has given David the plat­form and oppor­tu­nity to live out his pas­sion. Since start­ing the com­pany David has worked with a vari­ety of dogs who dis­played a vari­ety of behav­ioural issues and this in turn allowed him the priv­i­lege to meet and work with many of their won­der­ful owners.
