Friendly, helpful staff with a great selection of Lego sets, including several hard to find items. If they don’t have what you’re looking for on the shelves, they will order in a set for you provided it still is in production.

Nice Lego store. It’s comparable to others but their Mixels collection was a little bigger, and that’s what my son was looking for. The employees are friendly. The displays are fun and the building stations are of course awesome.

Every time I come to Sherway with my child, we stop in and just stare in complete awe. Perhaps it’s my inner child Architect but I love Lego. This store has so much selection that I think it beats out Toys R Us. Regardless of age or gender, you can find a great gift here. They even have a large selection of duplo! We must have bought at least 5 Winnie the Pooh duplo sets, 3 Star Wars sets, and infinite amount of Harry Potter ones from this store. Prices are reasonable and they’re the same as other stores. The service is fast and friendly. They’re great with my child and not so great on my wallet. They always convince them that this new set would be perfect compliment to the ones we already have! Another great thing about this store is that they do birthday parties! Before mall opening, they open the store just for you and your guests and its a Lego party! Fantastic idea! Overall, this a good place to track down an obscure Lego set, let your inner child play around or find that perfect gift!

Today we made a pilgrimage out to the newly opened Lego store in Toronto’s Sherway Gardens mall. My husband is a huge Lego fan — and by huge I mean he has an entire room in our house dedicated to Lego. Needless to say, he was really excited about visiting an entire store dedicated to Lego without having to order online. The result of our expedition: «Meh.» The store is very welcome in Canada and I bet they’ll be kicking themselves for not opening one sooner. Canadians love Lego. However, the store is much smaller than I had pictured in my mind. We went on a Saturday and it was thusly crowded with children waist high. My child being my 6.2″ husband, I was hoping he would find something nifty. They definitely have more selection than your nearest Toys R Us, especially if you’re looking for the architecture sets or other sets from Kingdom, Harry Potter, PotC that are the really big($ 150 plus). They also have some Lego-related items on the shelves that you would normally only see online(not in other toy stores) such as: mugs, gift bags, wrapping paper, money banks, messenger bags, keychains, magnets and so on. Though you may covet the stylish Lego aprons the staff wear — they aren’t for sale. I asked. For you serious Lego collectors out there who are thinking about popping in for the bulk various coloured Lego you can buy — call ahead and ask first. They don’t have much sought after colours like the ever elusive sand green. But if you’re looking for a more readily available colour, it’s entirely possible they’ll have it. If you’re interested in their«build a minifig center», it’s not really aimed at the collector — more for kids. You can make 3 minifigures for $ 12.99 and there isn’t a huge selection to pick from, but your kids will probably love it because let’s face it… little poseable people are awesome. On that note, if you’re on the lookout for the Minifigure Series collection(the little brightly coloured packages with a surprise minifigure inside), you should without a doubt call ahead. They sell out fast and are very rarely in stock. To be honest, with Toys R Us ordering in 200 boxes of them, that might be your best bet rather than the Lego store — as well as being more convenient to access. If you’re like my husband and collect the Lego Kingdom pieces, you may be a little disappointed. It’s a rather tiny section of the store hidden in the back and doesn’t have the same selection as say they Star Wars or City section. Most sections seemed to have minifigure magnet packs you could buy(in groups of 3), but the Kingdom section was lacking. The staff are friendly enough and there are more than enough around if you happen to have a question. The prices are typical, but you may find the odd thing on sale if you take a good look through things. It’s brightly coloured, a Mecca of a kids favourite toy and all in all worth at least one visit just to see what they have. You can also join their Lego VIP club for free which gets you a nifty shiny card to use for future purchases in store or online(I think you have to spend a hundred and then you get a discount or something similar). Altogether, take a venture out(hopefully not on the weekend), take a look at what they have and enjoy yourself!

The Lego store is open and it’s awesome!!! I was very happy when this one opened. I had been to the one a bunch of times in Calgary and couldn’t wait for this store when I heard it was coming. It might just be me, but this store seems a little smaller than the one in Calgary. The store is stocked with all of their current products. Once a month kids can get a free little set(limited quantities). They have a VIP card where you collect points on each purchase which you can later redeem for product.
