The Hazelton Hotel

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, elegant and well designed. The rooms are spacious, and I absolutely loved how many outlets were in the room — a very common gripe I have with most hotels. Extremely deep soaking bathtubs, heated bathroom floors, and the service was impeccable — the check in staff escorted us to the elevator, pointing out various features of the hotel. Would absolutely stay here again.

Simply the most refined, sophisticated hotel I’ve ever experienced. The Hazelton defines luxury. It’s my home away from home in Toronto and I look forward to every visit!

Wow! Now this is my kind of place!
Having been to Toronto a number of times, a friend suggested I might like to stay at The Hazelton given it’s close proximity to great shopping and restaurants, so during a recent weekend stay, I booked myself into Hazelton. Little did I know at the time that this hotel is a favorite of visiting celebrities so they are excellent at accommodating your every need during your stay.
I felt like a celebrity when I found that they were actually screening my calls and my guests, reaching out to me prior to allowing any access. It was almost a bit comical for this down to earth gal!
The room was huge– with a large, marble bathroom with heated floors, separate deep tub and shower area, double sink, a TV in the mirror, and L’Occitane products.
There was an open closet area with the racks tall enough to hang long gowns (loved this) as well as a mini bar, coffee area and free Wi-​Fi.
And note that these rooms are really «sound proofed». There was no noise transfer between rooms, whatsoever. My neighbors had some giggling guests arrive late one night and while I heard them in the hall– the second their door closed, quiet ruled once again.
The bed was sumptuous and very comfortable and one of my favorite things? They offer a «pillow menu». Yep. That’s right. You can choose from a list of about 6 different pillow options…from body sized pillows to cuddle to those that stop you from snoring or those that support how ever you sleep. Wild!
The drapes close on a remote button and each room has a Juliet balcony with large doors that open to let the fresh air in.
Turn down service is offered each night and it is the full service including a linen towel on the floor bedside to step out onto, slippers by your bed and a bottle of water. I loved that if you are not ready to have it done when they are on your floor– they come back at your convenience.
Room service is quite good– with food coming from One restaurant downstairs. It was spot on and quite timely served by some very friendly people.
And the concierge? Outstanding for any request I had. I needed car service to get me around and they did a great job of setting it all up so that it was effortless for me…exactly the level of service I would expect from a place like this.
For this girl who spends time in some of the best hotels in the world, the Hazelton stood tall among them. For this is a place where service, style and comfort reign…and isn’t that what you want from a luxury hotel?

OK, can’t review the entire hotel, but I can review the downstairs lounge and lobby area.
Dahh-​ling, GORGEOUS. For those of you San Franciscans who need a reference point, think Redwood Room at the Clift hotel. Grand space, hardwood floors, black and white avant-​garde photos of Penelope Cruz, Madonna and more. I really could spend some time admiring the space.
The one thing I’m not a huge fan of is overpriced everything. I mean, a $ 20 glasses of diluted wine is a little much for me. I’m all for paying the big bucks for the best, but not a huge fan of style without substance.
That said, this place is a very cool spot to dress up, look cute, and sip drinks with your pinky finger high!

I came here for a spa with a friend, which blew us away. We were served aromatic tea to relax our senses upon arriving. The tea was really tasty. The ambiance is muted and moody but nonetheless luxurious as it looks fancy with nice materials like granite in a gentle way. Compared to other spas I’ve been to that try to look heavenly Hazelton spa looks kinda dark. The pool was really gorgeous. It was tad bit small but believe it or not it was the most memorable part of the spa.
We did facial, body scrub and massage, for which we have nothing but praises. My skin became silky smooth after the treatments. The body scrub was so thorough and it felt like i was given new skin. The massage was amazing. Be sure to go for the signature massage. Our therapists did brilliant job with relaxing our bodies. My body felt so light afterwards free of any stress.

Beautiful, contemporary, well run. Rooms are well laid out and comfortable. Wifi is included. Very convenient. Staff overly friendly and accommodating. The surrounding neighborhood is trendy and beautiful with upscale shopping. 10 minute cab ride from the island airport. I have stayed there 2 times and would go back again.

It’s as simple as coming here to see and be seen by all the international «A”-list crowd coming to Yorkville.

I can’t believe I forgot to review this amazing hotel until now! The Hazelton is famous for hosting celebrities during the Toronto film festival, but this gorgeous hotel is the ultimate treat if you’re looking for ultra high-​end service and ammenities.
Our room was impressively sound proof; it wasn’t until we stepped out into the hallway that we heard the guest next door to us practicing scales in full-​out opera volume. So you shouldn’t have trouble sleeping here, unless of course you spend all night watching TV from the bath.
Bathrooms feature TVs in the mirror (watch from the tub for the most relaxing view), and heated marble floors. The L’Occitane En Provence bath products were also quite a treat! I received a spa gift card as part of my stay, and the spa was lovely. Private lockers and amazing service. For these prices, could you expect anything less?
The only hard part about staying at the Hazelton is settling for anything less afterward!
